On April 22, Persona 3: FES will be released! There are probably only two other members on Charas who care, but, come on--who saw that coming?!

FES, being the sequel/expansion to Persona 3, was released in Japan while Persona 3 was being localized. Everyone hoped that it would be packed in with P3; unfortunately, it wasn't. Atlus gave rumors that FES would be brought along if P3 did well enough, but, honestly, I didn't believe them (Atlus said the same thing about Persona: Innocent Sin).

But, here we are! Personally, I'm really excited about this; FES is going to bring a 'director's cut' version of Persona 3, with a lot of new features, Persona, and a new weapon-synthesizing mode, as well as FES itself. This came in just the nick of time; I finished Persona 3 some time in early January. The game is fresh enough to not be a total slog in New Game +, but familiar enough so that I won't have to start from square one! I'll also be able to recognize most of the new scenes, too...^_^


I hope to be able to get FES when it comes out...is anyone else planning on buying it?

I'll prolly buy it, cause persona ROCKS. I still haven't finished 3, because it gets a little repetitive towards the end, but still it's a sock-rocker game.

Never played the series. I suppose it's a Playstation series? I don't have anything Playstation anything except for the first one, which I didn't get until Janruary 1st, 2000.

As of now though, I'm saving the $60 I do have for MGS3, which I'll be able to buy, since I have a PS3.

Persona is an off-shoot of the 'Shin Megami Tensei' series, known for being a series that is deeply set in the occult. A 'Persona' is the representation of one's inner self that can be summoned to battle external forces (i.e., Demons). Persona 3 was the most recent iteneration of the series, and named GameSpot's RPG of 2007.
