A villainous theme I whipped up for my game
« on: July 17, 2008, 05:31:37 AM »
I made this in Anvil Studio as a theme for my lead villain, and I thought I'd get an opinion on it.
I personally like it. It fits my character, and I can easily remix it into a boss theme. And it loops really well.

So, let me know what you think.

Needs moar diminished 5th.

j/k. Anyway, you should add more chord progression in there.  As it stands right now, its sounds like all you have is the tonic for your "chord" and that's it.  Its either the tonic or the fifth... >.>

Actually, maybe some timpani playing some rhythms like the ones i mention later in my post would help that first half a bit.

The melody is nice though.  And the rhythmic variance towards the second half of the piece was nice.

I know, it needs a bit more, but I am utter rubbish with rhythm/percussion orchestration. Which is precisely why I need a composer for my game.

It's not bad. Maybe you should think a little more about the instruments used, but overall, it's fairly good.
