I never saw the problem with wavedashing. My friend, a Marth player, used it all the time and that didn't save him from a ripe beating.

I found it to be mildly annoying, but not in any way majorly useful. Except when people wavedash to edgehog. I hate edgehogging to a level reserved only for the Gods. In fact, I usually refuse to play against edgehoggers.

If that happened, he didn't do it right. And fight an experienced Fox and Luigi player who know all those "fairs" and "wavedashing" ect. Now that's something that goes on your nerves.
Ever been completely spammed by Fox's reflector? No, not just holding down the stick and spamming B, I'm talking about continuesly being hit by a reflector at least 1-2 time each second once you get close to the wall. I had a friend like that, I had to force him to bring his own controllers over to my place after a while. He was going mad over all the buttons that had to be pressed.
And for mr anti-gravity, it just plain suck when a Luigi can it you with his air-smashes 3 times in a row like that.

But luck with the tourny.

Its not that I won't fight them because I lose, because normally I can usually pull out a win some of the time. It's just that they're exploiting a glitch in the game and not really playing it in the way its meant to be. Its like if a game was made to be balanced, then you found out there was a glitch that would let you instantly kill your opponent. It'd just devolve into a giant match of who can do it first, ignoring the effort time and purpose that was put into the game.

It's why I like Brawl. Aside from Lucas and a few others, its pretty much balanced.

I gotta say I like Brawl more, just because of how Balanced they made the characters.

Except Lucas, which is my main character.

What about Bowser, though? How's he balanced? He weighs a ton, and requires crudloads of damage to knock off. That, and his attacks are abusive, and his final smash is nigh invincible. How the heck is any of that balanced?
