New forum theme up and running!
If you couldn't do it on Game Maker, you won't be able to do it on RPG Maker. Lucas is completely right; it's easier on Game Maker, but still pretty hard. That's the burden of game making. You only get what you put in. I would suggest you attempt Game Maker again. Start with a simple engine and build from there. You might need to learn a bit about programming, but that will really help you more in a broader scope. It's just impossible to get away with getting what you want without trying and failing time after time. Welcome to the world of making games my friend.
I did! I don't understand Gamemaker but managed to make a platformer on rm2k3. Then again, it was effing awful!
the guy whomade the mario type game tutorial is called the_game_guy he and the even cooler thing he's my brother. My big brother! And case you're wondering, the IP addresses change alot as we move alot...just lettin you know but yea its in his tutorial package.
but most Game maker games suck anyways, rarel good ones too
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I missed you.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I missed that welcome.
Hey vytong, here's how to make a side scrolling platformer in ten easy steps:Now I know you'll actually read this post, could you please listen to the people above you??? Even if we had the knowlege off the top of our heads a tutorial of the magnitude you're asking for would be ridiculously long and take hours to write. And even if someone went through all that bother, there's no way you'd be able to follow the instructions, and your resulting game would be poor quality anyway despite years of effort.Make it in gamemaker or one of the the other more suited makers or don't at all. They're your options.
