You'll need a modded ps2 to play it. Took me two seconds to find it online, be a little more resourceful. (Also worth nothing, it's a CD based ps2 game, meaning it'll take like two hours to download as well.)

Disgaea 1 and 2 are great SRPGs with a lot of time to be put in and some humour to boot.
Soulcalibur 3 is pretty good to if you're into fighters. And Tekken 4 is pretty good too. Another good fighter would be Guilty Gear X2. (You might be better off with Accent Core, but I have GGX2, so that's what I'd recomend.)
And if you're interested in some ariel combat, Ace Combat Zero is definately a good pick, along with Ace Combat 5.

Reason why Final Fantasy 10 is life-changing:

It's not like any other Final Fantasy games in the atmosphere.

You don't have to play the series to understand it, as every FF game is completely different.
The soundtrack is the best I've heard in any game - PERIOD.

The story is so sad and compelling and the scenery is amazing. There's a pond full of
souls and giant lillies with a pink sunset in the background.

The battles are so well-done.

The best and mot diverse array of characters I've ever seen in a game.

On the other hand, this game will probably make you cry like a 4 year old!

It's not my favourite game in terms of music, but To Zanarkand is perhaps the most beautiful piece in any game I have ever played.

FFX was fun, but it is by no means the best final fantasy, let alone the best game ever. Around FF7-9, they started to go stale. Also there were a few standout tracks, but overall the music isnt the best ive heard. Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack FTW. Also, i love how casually you say "There's a pond full of
souls".
