I'm away for one day and this happens.

First off, Lucas needs to stop telling everyone I'm inactive. I came back into activity a week ago and I've been banning bots whereever I see them.
Secondly, I partially disagree with Drag's locking of that one thread. Sure it was stupid, but it wasn't hurting anyone.
Thirdmost, all of you shut up because I don't know what you're complaining about anymore.
Fourthlike, "Off-Topic" in the sense of the forum means off topic from RPG Maker and the rest of the forums.

FIFTHFORE, having just looked at the other threads made in the wake of the discussion in this thread, you people are retarded. OH I DON'T AGREE WITH DRAGONIUMS RATHER STRICT AND SERIOUS MODERATING SO I'LL MAKE THESE SILLY SPAM THREADS LOL FISH LOL SILLY CAN'T LOCK DON'T LOCK LOLOLOL you are ****ing stupid. Cut this ****.
Goddamn I shake my head in disgust. THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. YOU'VE DISGUSTED ME.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

If I wasn't a lazy bastage, I'd be posting a link to that time Robotam called out Carmen and GhostClown. But I ain't looking through all this stuff to find that thread. So just pretend I posted that link instead.

Dragonium is a good mod.
He dosent think youre all fags.
Which is more then can be said for me, and i was a damn admin.

His job is to be effective.

I havent even read the OP or the first page at all, but im willing to bet that in the subline root of this thread, im willing to bet that its because some whiney faglord thinks in the back of his/her mind that calling out ineffective mods and admind will somehow make him mod/coolguy of the week.

Razor is not inactive. the mods are there to deal with the public, and post frequently....and the admins are there to no post frequently, and reamin enigmatic godlike and govern over the rest of the staff. Its a heirarchy, live with it.
Razor is pretty much the best thing this website has going for it right now...and dragonium is right up there too.

You idiots bitch when there is slack moderation, you bitch with heavy moderation, and you bitch even more when a happy balance is maintained.

Im going to go read the OP and first page now, and then Ill edit this with my final verdict

EDIT: Ban drace. He started the thread to garner more posts.for one week. Humble that gaylord. And everything I said above still stands.

I expected more from all of you. even drace.

Also, dont bring back unmod. this isnt 4chan for kids. Its a discussion forum on RPGmaker2003. Change the name of OFF TOPIC to GENERAL DISCUSSION and then nobody can bitch when mods do what they are supposed to do.

Every staff member and former staff member who posts currently will tell you....youre being stupid little bitches

Ahhh yes, those were good times.
In a few years all the current mods will have had their names dragged through the dirt and spat upon, and the cycle will begin anew.

Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post.

Yes you probably should read the whole thread first. But I d'awwwed.
Oh **** he did read the threads. Oh boy.

Sai is so right. Despite the changes made, the same problems exist. Of course Draggie's a good mod, just gotta let some things slide.

FYI: No the spam board will not come back. It was made, ya'll were happy but got bored & it was removed. Then ppl asked for it back before the SAME fuckin people demanded it's removal.

Stop making demands and complaining about EVERYTHING. ****, even though I disagree with some of his choices at least he's making an effort.

I disagree with banning Drace.

Razor, remove the word filter please...?

What word filter?
Swearing? No. Swearing word filter stays. Even if most of us are old enough to swear I hardly think it would be in the spirit of Charas to embrace digital blasphemy.

Seeing as you're all a bit confused, I'll reask my question for the mods and admins.

Question: Should a topic be locked just because we're jumping to the next topic when a solution has been found for  the original topic? Or should the members of this forum be allowed to have some fun?

Now, the reason for all these little spam threads I made was to examplify just how irritating it is to make a new thread for each and every topic. Dragonium mentioned PMing people every time you wanna off topic, but I'd rather share the fun with the entire forum than just one person. Cause, PM is a private message.

I do apologise for making all the spam threads, but I felt the need to make an example of how irritating it is to have a million spam threads while we can have just one thread that's gone off topic.

So, to Razor, Midnight, Saikar and anyone who's been offended, my sincere apologies.

EDIT: Except to gemini for not even taking his time to read carefully about the subject at hand. Jeeze, I'm not bitching about inactive mods and admins cause for all I know, they're doing a bloody good job. Also, I did not start this thread for more posts, just to make people more aware of a level of strictness that shouldn't be there. I don't care if all threads I made yesterday will get deleted, post count =/= penis size.

That was meant as a "I want more discussions". It's not meant as a "I want to increase my post count", but as a "Make this place a bit more livelier(sp?)".

EDIT: Made the thread name shorter again, but still easy to notice for the mods and admins.

Well as we all know I've been an advocate for evolving discussion in threads forever.
HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS FROM AN ADMIN PERSPECTIVE?
GOOD QUESTION
more on that later

Offended? Are you kidding me? Maybe it's been a few years and you've forgotten or maybe nobody ever really knew to begin with, but I always on the side of people that wanted to have more freedoms like being able to go off topic in threads and be able to protest bad moderation. Power to the peoples. That's how that Robotam / GC Carmen thing got so big to begin with, and why I did what I did afterward. Though it seems a lot of the changes I made have been reversed since then.

That doesn't mean I agree with you here, or am saying that Draggy has been doing a bad job. I really have no idea. In fact, you shouldn't even have to apologize to me on general principle. Despite various forum permissions, I am not part of the staff anymore. I'm just here because Midnight said things were getting interesting and, by God, she was right.

Oh my.  This thread has turned into a bitchfest on both sides.

Seriously people, calm the **** down already.  It is a ****ing forum get over it.

If you believe that a moderator is abusing their power to lock threads, send a private message to an admin for the staff to discuss it.  If you really want the opinion of everyone, then post a polite thread, not a '**** YOU BITCHES I WANT THIS TO CHANGE NOW' thread.

I believe, sure, if a thread get s little off-topic, who cares.  To fix it, make a post that is related to the original topic, don't tell everyone to go back to the topic or else.

Though, if you don't want to change the topic, then just make a new thread discussing the new topic.  Not that hard really.

Drace needs to clam down.  Really, there was a better way to do this.  Drag, I understand that you must be frustrated with all of this, but do not fight back, it just makes it all worse.  Politeness is key.

This situation was just seemingly unnecessary.  Calm down people of charas, please?

Take what you will of my opinion.

1) No, not really.

2) Clearly, you've not read my latest posts. I am quite calm. You should have made this post a few pages back but you're kinda late with it now.

3) Lucas, get out of the thread if you're not contributing.
