  • WHAT THE WHY ARE THESE BUTTONS
The Short Bus
« on: February 21, 2009, 01:46:23 AM »
The Short Bus I'm referring to is my recent project due to a suggestion of Lucas_irineu, and that is to actually bring LiH to Charas. I call it the Short Bus because it's a much better title than Life in Hell, and it helps set the 'what the **** are these guys thinking' kinda mood.

Unfortunately, I have no pages actually complete yet, so just enjoy some of my ramblings after finally getting Photoshop. (I still like Jasc more.)

This is Jack. Jack is happy. He's always happy. He was an assignment for school, so here he is. Sorry about the coat, though.

This is me actually scanning a sheet and recoloring it to 'test the waters' before devoting this method to finally showing The Short Bus.
From Left to right, top to bottom: Death, Mortique, Karen, Melissa, Jack, WeeBot, Death By Peanut, Dan Balan (Mortique), Slut Cult Karen, Black Melissa, Jack (pirate), and WeeBot again. Please note that the characters are not to scale. WeeBot is not that big, Melissa and Death are a bit taller than Mortique and Karen, and Jack is much more empty than he appears.

Yeah, "The Short Bus" sounds about right...

Your character designs are very pleasing to me, especially Jack's. His gormless expression is wonderful.

eh. To be honest, the punchline is pretty weak. Love the style though :)

I agree with Meis Jesus on the punchline, it's kind of weak

I didn't laugh, but you do have a great art style

The punchline ALONE is weak, however, the juxtaposition of the punchline and the art tickles me to a high degree. The absolutely (for lack of a better word) dead expressions on the characters add an extra layer to the sarcasm.

Beh. This is enough for the day.

I just reminded myself of Green Day's "Dookie."

Dude, I can finaly see Jack in action. It'll be like seeing him beffore he apears in Warped. XSpeaking of which you gave me and idea for one of Jack's weapons. Also love the second version of Jack, it just screams "awesome, crazy,TV-sitcom character".
