A few questions about Spore

So I bought the the Spore creature creator awhile back, but because I didn't have a good enough graphics card to play it. When I purchased a new computer. I recently played it and absoluetly loved it, but i'm having a problem. I saved a few of my creations, but I can't veiw them, but it says they are in the database, so does any one know what's going on? Also does the full version of the game have a mode where you can create creatures outside of the main game play?
