So if I had to make a battle system, I would make a standard turn based system, but when a character attacks, you have some control over them,

I'd love to make a battle system where you could use Telekinetic powers to throw objects, people and even buildings into enemies, like in the Force Unleashed. man was that ever fun to play. :)

Wii. You have this electricity gun which lifts and moves objects, and you collect these things called Elebits which make your gun more powerful.

As for me I also like the idea of an in-battle negotiation system.

I'm quite a fan of diplomacy myself.

I like something like the Mario and Luigi RPG battle system where you can actually use some skill to stay alive.

That was my inspiration, yes. The system was way early in development.

I think you should turn off that Firefox mod before you post.

it'd be cool to do something like legend of dragoon where you have to time a button press to do a combo or critiacal hit or spell of some sort.. well, the spells were actually a matter of mashing x fast enough.
but unfortunately timing is not a friend of rm2k/3. maybe this could be done in xp or vx?
