I think I see what you mean. Ugh...every time I try to use the battle charset generator, what I make somehow ends up looking worse. This is supposed to be the hallmark of the site!

And Darkfox, I try to avoid limbs moving too much (or at all) in victory poses, because depending how fast the game is running, sometimes the sprite ends up moving at hyperspeed, and it looks hilarious.

Thought of some good victory poses.

Uh, sorry for asking this here, but is it possible to separate "pants" and "shirts" in the generator instead of one category for all clothing?

See, pants would go below shirts since your pants never overlap your shirt unless you're Urkel. It's foolproof.

It is possible to separate pants form shorts as an accessory.

But you can only have one accessory. This makes Val sad.

That's another downside of the bchar generator. No item layers like charaset gen.

There's an item slot, but sadly there's only one layer in the gen as Val says. It limits the possabilities. MOAR THAN ONE LAYER PLZ!

Srsly. There should be layers for...in this order...Body, Head, Pants, Shirt (dresses included), Shoes, Gloves, Capes (tricky but doable, I say...includes wacky stuff like wings), Hair, Hats.

But I'm playing backseat programmer here. I'm sure this stuff is difficult to add.

No, I was just correcting your post DF. You said "pants form shorts" so I assumed you meant "pants from shirts".

As for your grand plans Valerie. I bet it could be done but I don't think anyone will bother until there are enough resources.

Oh! The smallest things, I get the big ones right but then mistype on some of the small stuff.

I can try to lend a hand since summer vacation is coming up, or at least I hope I don't get lazy again. >_<

That would be appreciated. I'll post some of the clothing for the template to give you an idea of how I want it to move.

All right, I hate it had to come to this, but some real life issues came up, and I need to take a break from this forum, possibly permanently. I'm sorry this had to happen and so soon after I joined, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to fulfill a few people's sprite requests. I want to wish you all good luck in all your future endeavors.

To end on a positive note, I created one last sprite, one I spent a lot of time on that I feel captures the spirit of this forum. I feel it's the apex of my spriting so far, the best one yet, and I think you guys will feel the same way. Farewell.
