Dedlelly's Requests
« on: April 04, 2009, 03:27:48 AM »
My game uses the CBS of entering numbers simultaneously with enemy actions, different codes resulting in different spells cast, to be activated as single-use items on the next turn or stored for later use, and the amount of time taken to enter a code equaling MP damage.

What I need from you are numbers. Numbers for casting spells, that is. Also, preferably spell descriptions, but that is not necessary, provided you give me a rating of how easy the code is to remember and why. Spells may not have equal consecutive digits and must be 10 digits in length. Frequently used or weak spells should be mnemonic, for example 2358132134 for a magical bunny laser, in reference to the Fibonacci sequence and its applications to rabbit population growth.

New request: My game will also incorporate special items called "Mods" that function similarly to Materia. I said similarly. I'm not an FFVII fanboy. They actually function more to determine class, because they do not make the characters more powerful. They simply change their strengths, e.g. by equipping a Fire Magic, one becomes more skilled in Fire Magic, but somewhat more deficient in other areas. I created this system because I don't like classless RPGs and my system would necessitate certain freedom if you were to learn techniques from enemies.

What I need are ideas for Mods. Remember that they must be balanced so that when the situation isn't taken into account, they do not make a character any better. They don't have to be for battle, may I remind you. They can be for things like Charisma, Lockpicking, etc.

This sounds confusing as hell to play. Also, fibbionacci sequence should play the song Lateralus on constant loop (you'd have to be a Tool fan to get this i guess)

It's not, really. Think Rudora no Hihoo. It's like that except there aren't words like coast or giga, but numbers. MP cost is as long as you're casting the spell, just like the Guardian-type souls in Aria of Sorrow.

You have me curious...would we be seeing a demo of your CBS any time soon?

Also, 451 should be a fire spell

ADDENDUM: 13892 Also should be a fire spell
It's the critical point of Tungsten

First one should be obvious to all readers

IF ONLY YOU KNEW THE POWA OF THE DOCK SIDE

Yes, you will see a demo. I'm glad you're interested as this is my first game, and a fellow nerd, assume. Expect it out when I get enough resources.

BTW, the google ads for this page are hilarious

"Black Magic:
Warning: My Spell not Reversible. Use Me as a Last Resort
Only.
AncientBlackMagic.com"

I'm tempted to click it

Also, I'll post more codes later, after I dream some up
This seems worth contributing to, it could be really interesting

I've seen that one before. I get the feeling it's kind of like that guy's "I know how to bang all the hot chicks, and I'll tell you if you buy my book" site with a single, really long page filled with a lot of stuff in huge, bold text, punctuated by a PayPal button.

Went to it, it's apparently legit...it has a bunch of spellbook e-book purchase things
Kinda weird actually
Although the fact that it claimed to hold a copy of the Necronimicon kind of made me giggle
