Looks great the circles in the windows are a little rough, but very creative to have come from scratch.

24-bit limitations, I'm afraid.

You can see the top of the chest of drawers but not on the shelf next to it.

Yeah, I'll fix that. You probably don't need eight shelf spaces anyhow.

I have noticed something on the bed, under the headbored you can see the floor

That's pretty much inevitable. The bed is arranged so that you can slip your character under the sheets. For that to be possible, the blanket must be set to go over the hero, and the pillow and above must go underneath. If I filled in that space where the floor peaks out, that area would go over the hero and look totally wrong.

I tried to make a lower-level pair of tiles to go beneath the bed, but the bed is arranged in such a way as to make this difficult without having extra tile spill out the sides of the bed. I'll see if I can scoot the bed over a bit.

It's beautiful. I think your problem is you are saving you pictures as jpeg and that automatically peculates them making them less detailed and "rough".

Pardon my lack of memory on the subject, but couldn't you just make the blankets an event that's set above the hero and have the mattress as something the player clips through? It would solve the problem of there being a floating headboard while keeping the desired effect.

Couldn't you include the mattress in the chip, just like the rug but white or whatever and maybe not auto-formatting?

I dont know if it would help anyone....maybe it would help for a battle background, but my platformer tileset in my gallery thread could be used if anyone wanted. Its a bit steampunk....I will dig up the full tileset if anyone wants to use it. Only problem is its a 16 colour palette

Yeah, that would work. I'll do that.

Too lazy to read the other posts. Looks good, but its not steampunk. It's definitely Victorian, maybe neo-Victorian.

I think it looks steampunk. The window alone reminds me of the beautiful animes where you see that kind of architecture.

I did a lot of research of Victorian/steampunk architecture and movies like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and The Golden Compass in making this. If you feel it's too bright or colorful, which is a reasonable complaint, you can always tint the screen in-game to some kind of sepia tone. In my next round of screenshots, I'll take a few doing that and see if it's an improvement. But I wanted there to be some kind of color to keep it from being too drab.

The chipset is complete (My first completed chipset! I'm so proud), but I have a lot of additional objects and animations to make before I can move on to the outdoor set. I might try to make some animated gifs or something to show off the animations.

What I think Zeek is trying to say is, he sees the Steam, but where's the Punk?
So yeah...not dark and grungy enough, maybe

I, personally, think they're great. Grade-A job, as usual Val.
Keep up the good work, can't wait to maybe see the Gif of the animations

Steampunk isn't dark and/or grungy.

Necessarily.
