Kingdom Hearts:Keyblade War [under Construction]

This is the first game that I've ever released so it's not perfect but it's not bad either.   I made this with rm2k3 as several games I've seen so far are made with..   Well, here we go.

Story

The story takes place right after Kingdom Hearts 2.   Sora, Riku and Kairi have finally returned home after their long Journey.   Soon after they get a letter from King Mickey stating that there have been reports of Keyblade Worriors in the different worlds only these Keyblade Worriors have been causing destruction.   The king says that he will send a gummiship to them and that they are to meet him at Disney Castle, however, who they find inside they gummiship shocks them..   The two "familiar faces" that bring the gummiship to Sora, Riku and Kairi tell them that Twilight Town has been overrun with Heartless and Nobodies so they travel there to save it before heading to Disney Castle.

That's basically how the story starts out and basically is demo V.01.   There is gonna be two demos the second one fixing any bugs the first one had including tile passibility which I was too lazy to modify right now.   Also the worlds won't look exactly like they do in the game.   I couldn't find KH chipsets so I had to do the best with the ones I had and no they're not all RTP chipsets.

Based on that screenshot, you REALLY need to work on some mapping skills.
And yeah, do as Fish says.

OH WHAT THE!? RPG_RT.EXE? Where's the game!? XD!!!

OMG, this is the biggest blunder since the time Trymaker included the entire RTP. Anyways, yeah, do what Fish said. XD

Nah I'm not mad but it's not like I didn't try, I couldn't find any other KH facesets other than what they have on here.

The thing about facesets is that you can use any picture if the character.
Just decrese the size of the face and put it into a faceset template.

Piece a cake.

Also, It's spelled "Warrior" - a fighter with blades usually. an "a" in there.

And guys, this is his first game.
It's the game you make and learn from your mistakes.

Some advice.
For the mapping. Don't think "Pokemon red/blue" towns. You'll need towns with real big houses that actually look like it can have people inside. Huge tall buildings is pretty common in Traverse and Twilight town.
Then try to fill places out with street lights and such. It's all for the games mood and such.

Try to find the Backgrounds from Chain of memories instead of the RTP ones. They are pretty nice and useful - also fit the style.

Learn as much as you cna from this game and make the next one twice as good.

Just ask us for help if you want to use them - 'cuz you gotta put theim into a template and fix colours and such.

Accually, I found some CoM backgronds on here just not all of them including twilight town and Traverse Town is going to look a lot better than Twilight Town for the fact that the tileset I have for it matches it a bit and I have a Traverse Town BG.   I'm also going to improve Twilight Town but it won't be in my next Demo cuz you don't/can't go there.   I'm only releasing two versions and by the time I release the entire game everything will be fixed including spelling.   One request though.   If anyone would be willing to find me KH chipsets and/or backgrounds I'll fix the maps and give you credit.   But either way I'll try to improve Twilight Town.   And sweet char resources but I will need help cuz i don't know how to put things on templates or even where to get templates.   Again I am new to this.

Try the Spriters Resource. They have a Roxas face grafic I think.

There are tutorials about this.

But to make something very long to something pretty short:


Go to the complete resource.
Search for "Template".
Download template. (There is no real template for monsters - it's kinda easy to do after all. Monster and then a single colour background)

Open template in paint.
(Optional: Copy the template and paste it into a new paint window - because some templates have a set pallette already which can screw pictures).
Open up the sheet with sprites that you want.

Copy/Paste the sprites into the template so that they fit. Also try to make them look smooth together. Like having them stand on the same height so they don't glitch around.
When you are done - you have 2 options.
1. Save the file as a 256c BMP with paint (or any other program you might be using)
2. Download Irfanview from the internet. Copy the intire picture into Irfanview(Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) Then go to "Image" > "decrease colour depth" > choose "256"(or less if you want).
Irfanview doesn't **** the colours like paint does, so your resources will look a bit better.


And I think that's it.
