Some people have a legal copy of rm2k3 like me! "cough, cough" It's definitly the best. Its kind of boring to only see the monsters like in rm2k.

He didnt, he is lying. Everyone knows it is a lie, and lying only makes him look like a noob. He should know that :/

But yeah, coreyl, RM2k3 is not free, you just got an illegal download.
No it's called sarcasm.

No its not.

Note that this is clearly sarcasm being displayed here.

I like 2k3. It's the most user-friendly of the RM's in my opinion. XP CAN do what 2k3 can do, but only with ruby script editing. By default, it actually LACKS many of the functions that 2000 and 2003 had. VX, my trial didn't really last long enough to get the gist of what it could do... And Game Maker... Um... Is... Great.

In my experience, GM is actually pretty miserable at making RPG's. It's much more platformer/shooter oriented.

Also, this topic probably should be moved, since it isn't actually a game in itself. It is going to All of All.

I hate anything that's in first person or requires you to progarm everything.

I usually make my games in XNA. But I've never done an an rpg in it so I guess I would have to say rm2k3.

2003.  It has a slightly less terrible default battle system.  But then, I have Fredrik to work out the details of the engine we use.  I just write.
