Oh boy...Now, I hope you actually finish for the simple fact that throughout the years of me being here, there have been thousands of FF fangames and they all sucked or they were never made. This also, needs alot of work and no one is gonna take it seriously  from the screenshots. The maps aren't good, for some reason Capt. Picard is with Squall and the Gunblade wasn't even in Squall hand.

I see you are trying to get better at making games by making this but... Don't you think you should put alot of effort into this anyway? Just making the game stupid and uninteresting won't make you learn anything... Try to use alot of tutorials and make this a test game... Take it seriously.. No one is gonna take Squall seriously in a VIII-2 game even when Kingdom Hearts made him look even more "uncool"....

Just take my advice and work on your mapping and storyling and gameplay. That's how you will get better... and this game might be a decent play

I like the way it looks when the gunblade is out of his hand. And if this was a fan game Then I would have said something to the effect of "I know you'll enjoy this because I draw my inspriation from the original." It'll be a more playable version of that bessie the cow game...

This blows. I don't care if you're just "training" with the program or not.
It's GREAT that you're trying to make a game before trying to make your own personal masterpiece game, but for heaven's sake don't advertise it if you know, and intend, for it to turn out poorly. If you want help with mapping and such, there are other places for it, like the tutorial section or the screenshot thread.

BTW, google RPGM Font Fix, it will help make your text look cleaner.

Check your grammar...also, some of the dialogue seems out of character. Also your maps are empty.

Oh come on, it's true. I've beaten 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 12, but couldn't get more than a few hours into 8 before just walking away shaking my head in confusion and disgust.

I loved 8, I just didn't like the ending. everything else was just awesome about it. I've loved all the FF games with the grand exception of 10, 10 was a abomination to everthiny that is good and pure in this world.

If #10 was on ps1 it might have been good. what bothers me is when people dis #8 just because they cant understand the plot. Because of this they think its a weak story. Its the one with the most complex plot with the most beilivable characters. The characters are well developed. And contuary to what others say squall never pulls a gohan. I also liked the sci fi. Id explain more but psps have character limits and most people dont care which is sad. Understand its well developed before hating.

I liked 8 alot more than 10 and I liked all the character including Squall.

Which is why Kingdom Hearts angers me because they just ruined Squall.

You're going to have to accept that it was the black sheep of the series. It was utterly different to everything that came before it. There was no OMG WE MUST GRIND TO BE STRONG or OMG WE MUST STOP EVILBADGUY™. It was story-based with different gameplay mechanics. And let's face it, some people are not okay with that.

It's my favourite of the series but you can't expect everyone to like everything.

EDIT: That said, it would be nice if people could appreciate the difference between "I don't like it" and "it sucks".

Yes, that's exactly why I don't like it. I should understand its well developed, and has beilivable characters before I dis it. Since contuary to what others say, its actually a great game.
