He was away, yes, but updates have been REALLY SPORADIC ever since year 2 passed. It's getting pretty bad.

Specifically I refer to how he managed to do all those artifacts. I don't think there is a button in Flash for that.

Also I loved the remix of whatever that was.

He would have used extensive photoshop editing on the frames for the artifacting, I'd think.
