Speaking of non-human party members in tactical games, hopefully they will translate Majin Tensei 1 and 2 soon. It is made of awesomeness, too bad it is Japanese.

That's what pissed me off about FFXII, the lack of racial diversity in the party. You're in Ivalice, which had five playable races in FFTA, and the big damn console game only has one non-human in the entire party? It's just another way they made everything purposely dull.

Plus the nonhuman was basically a tall female with bunny ears and high heels.

No need to remind me, the sheer lameness of it is burned into my brain for all eternity...

Oblivian- Sweet! I'm out of the prison...what do I do now...?

Dragon Quest 8- Why do I have to level grind to beat the first dungeon?

Final Fantasy 12- So in the middle of the desert, there's a save point you can only use once before you fight the boss that you need ranged weapons for. Unfortunately, I used the save point, having only one party member with a ranged weapon. Now to beat it, I have to level grind, then walk BACK OUT OF THE ****ing DESERT and save my game.

I believe that is supposed to be an O in Oblivion.
:3

Rogue Galaxy.
I was expecting a lot from this game.
Great storyline, fun gameplay, and kickass graphics.
Well, I got two of those.
The story is about as cliche and lame as you can get.
And the ending is...unbearable.
The last dungeon is unnecessarily hard, and...should have ended quite a bit before.
Like 3 hours ago.

Seriously? You're disappointed because you don't realize that you're now free to do whatever the hell you want?

I had no idea people were still this primitive.

You can track any quest you have, and when you get out of jail, you only have one quest (which is the main quest) which is automatically tracked, so I don't get how you can't know what do do and/or where to go.

Yeah, really... freedom games were not too recent, they have been around... I'm used to it.

Because it's a Dragon Quest game.

I have one problem with Oblivion. It lacks something I feel a game need.

Slaughter.

You can go around for minutes without encountering anything while passing between cities, then all of a sudden you get a crab and then it dies. Fanfare it's over.
A game like Oblivion could use a lot more enemies I mean the place is rather huge and I don't want to feel like I'm playing FFXII again.

Well, being a Bethesda game, there's a mod out there to satisfy your various needs. However, this is not an issue with me. There seems to be the perfect amount of hostile creatures in the world for me. Also, early in the game, it's nice to not have to constantly fight your way through hordes of beasties just to get from A to B. It also helps when you consider that there can be some pretty tough foes that can slaughter you without much trouble. Most of the fights I get into last at least a minute. If you really feel that you should be constantly facing off with these things, then that's you and your blood-lust.

Of course, I wouldn't have minded seeing a few more non-hostile life forms prowling the forest. But I guess it's roughly as populated as any wooded area I've been to. I suppose that's why I don't mind only occasionally seeing a deer or two and little else. It helps that I get all my murdering needs from quests and dungeons.
