Shinies are no harder to catch than regular pokemon though. Unless they have explosion or something, just don't be stupid about it. Use false swipe and hypnosis and a few pokeballs and call it a day.

Used a haunter with Mean Look and Hypnosis to catch the dogs (and Latios) but it was a huge pain in the butt. 90% of the time was spent trying to get them to be in the same areas as me.

I'm now training off and on for the Red fight and his terrifying level 88 Pikachu.

I just got to the elite four, but my pokemans are terribly under level. I really just want to go to Kanto already. I caught Ho-oH however with an ultra-ball, which was surprising. I remember it being a lot harder in the older versions, not that I'm complaining, cuz if there's one thing pokemon's good for, it's repetitive and frustrating events.

I am so getting Soul silver today.  I'm excited.

Really?  I caught my lugia pretty easily in my silver version... and my pokemon were in the 30's.  I used a great ball I think.
