That said, I decided a long time ago that Charas is my final traditional forum. I won't be signing up to any others, imageboards have spoiled me.
I'm already partially part of a small tightknit IRC/imageboard community which is quite delightful (no, not 4chan).

This site has been around for many years, and though I don't post much, I always visit. I know few people work on the RPG makers at all anymore, and while I still do, I mostly come here for the community as others have said.

I must say, if this site does dissapear, it will be very sad. I have many memories of sitting at my computer looking through this site. And while fewer and fewer of the members I know appear, there are new members who take up the attitudes and new characters to meet.

This is in response to page 1.

Charas needs to update to modern times and host a wider variety of resources and projects in accordance with the times.  RM2k3 was 7 years ago.  Nowadays you kids are all using XP and VX and God knows what else.  Aiming specifically at RM2000 and 2k3 users has worked for however many years, but they're usage seems to be declining exponentially.  Instead of 'dying off', adapt in a way that will bring in more visitors, and people who will actually contribute CR and on the forums.

I don't want to see Charas go down anymore than (probably) most of you, so let's start a minor revamp.  I can offer plenty of ideas if anyone in charge is interested.

We may want to become a general GPL graphics assembly site, or something similar.
This is talk for another time though.
