Everything Sucks

Does anyone else think... in all honesty, without the boohoo, "I miss the oldies, they were the goodies" crap or those anti-modern art people ( I think they exist. Pretty sure.) That nothing is really creative anymore and that everything is just distracted people, sucking the life and money out of 'em? For realz now. Anyone else think everything sucks lately? Or am I just now catching on?

I think everyone is awesome. I still can't get over pay-at-the-pump gas, and that was introduced like ten years ago. I mean, you don't even need to go inside. You just pay at the pump. Revolutionary!

Don't be a... nostalgia elitist. Is there a term of that? Well, if there is, don't be that. Just because you liked something in the past doesn't mean that stuff that's happening right now isn't any good.

And that's kind of what I was sayin in the first paragraph. I mean, a lot of things on TV nowadays is awful. But maybe it always kind of was? Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of things out there that are new out there.

Also, I clearly said I wasn't talking about "nostalgia elitist" crap then preceded to kind of contradict myself. JESUS SAIKAR.

Well, TV sucks lately. There seems to be too much focus on people drinking nad having sex. Things that were kinda taboo some ages back.
Music, well depends on the taste. The young ones like the new music since they are raised with it, but I can't say that I very much appreciate this more than the stuff from the 90's.
Games, well games are basically sequels and prequels and some knock offs and spin offs. Which isn't that striking since people barely give new titles a chance. And of course, most games are very graphic focused, which is why I still hold a love for the "inferior" handheld consoles such as DS and PSP.
Books, well... In most cases every plot twist and story is already taken it seems so most people seem to either put focus on conspiracies or simply writing biographies.
Movies, I really don't have much to say because I'm not feeling any change at all here except that special effects don't look like something from MSpaint lately.
Society, we have too many options, too much freedom so we get confused, need to search ourselves what we want to do. Also we'd like to become famous and are overall affected by all the medial crap such as movies, tv and papers. Also we like to know about famous peoples lives apparently since we read about that everywhere and some people see them as rolemodels and get some teenage preggers, drug usage ect ect.
Overall, everything is great just a little different, things changes over the years usually in a slow pace. But nowdays we have such a blooming technical evolvement that a thing such as cellphones looked like crap, serious crap like 10 years ago. Also - only those business sharks had one.

But yeah, people seem to think that they need THAT much money. I'll never get it, why own 4 cars and a boat? What does money mean when you throw it away on meaningless objects that you simply got since they are expensive? Everyone can get pretty much everything as long as you work, having a job like that is just overkill. You'll never need that kind of money except if you're starting a small rebellion against the government or something. 'Cuz I'll never understand the desire to NOT work since you got enough money. What the hell are you supposed to do all day then?

A lot of world event discussions have been happening in my classes and I've been reading vonnegut and watching the news, so my whole look on the world's become pretty bleak. As for class discussion, I feel like a lot of people out there, or atleast in my classes, are fuckin' stupid. Just throwin' that last bit out there, take it with a grain of salt if you will.

But seriously though it's not all that bad. Yes, people are stupid, but they've always been. It's just more noticeable today, I suppose. How many innocents burned because they were accused of being witches? See? Stupidity is pretty old! And there are many other things to prove it! But I'm too lazy to note them.

Many things suck these days, but many are also great. It all depends on your thought, point of view and other words like these. I personally enjoy yelling to myself how f*cking gay CoD can be some times and other similar things.

As for music, well... there still have good ones behind al the crap that pops out today, yes.

This is total "nostalgia filter."

Remember "Independence Day"? I caught some of it on TV a few days ago and was blown away.........by how much it sucked. The acting was hammy, the soundtrack was practically screaming "EMOTION!! YOU SHOULD BE FEELING EMOTION RIGHT NOW," the dialogue was hokey and inappropriate.....and this was supposed to be the great big summer blockbuster of '95 or whenever. I remember thinking, well we may have some crappy blockbusters today, but we'd never put up with something like this.

Also, I like alternative/rock right now.
