Oh, you say that now. But just imagine it. "Phossy" stands for phosphonecrosis. Necrosis -- as in, your jaw is literally dying. The toxic phosphorus decays the flesh, reducing your jaw to a hideous slump as the bones and tissue decompose. On top of being a disfigured horror, the decomposing flesh gives off a putrid smell, repelling any of your friends and family that might have stuck around for this long. You can't eat, you can't speak intelligibly, and you'll probably die if the jaw isn't amputated, which will leave you disfigured for life. On top of that -- in the dark -- the phosphorus in your jaw gives off an eerie greenish glow, a haunting reminder that your jaw is now its exclusive property.

Maybe that only gets to me.

I googled pictures.
I didn't think that it was nearly as gross as Harley Babies or just regular old necrosis.
The idea is right creepy, though.

I'm trying my hardest to resist Googling a couple of those. My weak stomach is making that resistance a bit more effective.

I think they aren't simply glued...
I googled these. I suppose I saw too many similar things for it to disgust me. Wonder if it's actually a good thing... but the babies were the scariest.

Yeah, the harlequin fetuses are pretty bad.  There's also the babies born after the Gulf War, when it's suspected that depleted uranium caused may deformities.  First link on Google for "gulf war syndrome birth defects."

With that cheerful note, I love these comics.

Did you guys get to James Joyce's love letters? It always cracks me up how I'll forget about them for a while, figure they weren't really that bad after all, go back and read them again, and find they're far more horrifying than I remembered.

Also Vietnam and the Orange thingie.

And Hiroshima/Nagasaki and the radiation.

You know, I have a feeling that the US does this kind of thing on purpose. Always finding new weapons that will **** up their enemy's babies in horrible ways after destroying their countries.
Yeah, we basically say "this is why you don't **** with us. Even if we lose, you lose."

Who cares about human rights anyway, right? Not the USA at least.
We love human rights! We just understand the significance of making an example out of someone...

So BOWMAN is doing paragraph-long reviews for the comics now. He absolutely loved these two.

Can I help it that I'm so awesome?
