So, like, I have a soft spot for undue, torturous violence. However, I prefer it in a way that's beyond extreme, usually humorous, and often not involving humans (humanoids are OK). Basically, I love Duke Nukem.

Violence in games - it's cool, it's just graphics and sounds.
In movies - it's worse.

My parents only had one rule for what games I could play as a kid though - only games that didn't involve killing other people. I could pass with all final fantasy games and even diablo (Although the death sounds of those dark ranger enemies in D2 made them mighty suspicious).
But when it came to movies - I could watch good ol' Arnold and Sly shoot people bloody and watch crazy people eat brains in indiana jones.
