RPG MAKER 2003 ERROR CREATING GAME DISK

i need help... i am making an rpg for my friends and i dunno what this means... and i need to make a game disk but every time i do this happens...




any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

Try to choose another path. Like save it somewhere else, 'cuz right now it kinda looks like your trying to save it the temp folder.

i actually chose desktop as the target to save it ! but ill try saving it to another dir

yea well during the creation of the actual GAME ... it was super smooth and everything turned out well... but when i go to save it .... it stops when it tries to compress the "panorama" folder ... and i dun know why?

I was thinking it might be a patch issue as well. If I remember right, older versions of the translated rm2k3 had this problem. You might be able to fix it with a patch or downloading a new version of rm2k3 (try v 1.08).

no actually, i searched the image file ... and its there with the same name. -_-

but will the new version import everything correctly
or will it have problems because they are different versions?

It shouldn't be a problem. Just back up your project folder if you're worried about losing info.

How many pictures can you use? I think older versions allowed only up to 20, but someone patched it to 50. If you can only use up to 20 pictures, then you have an older version and updating it should fix the problem.

i tried everything...

first it was failing when it tried to compress all those panorama PNG's ...
THEN it was failing when it tried to compress the TITLE png's
THEEEEN it failed when it tried to compress RTP.INI...

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO 

time is ticking ... i need to create a game disk pronto!

Are all your resources imported with the maker or have you dragged and dropped them into the folder?

And well - you don't really need to make a game disc. Just compromise your game folder and upload it to some hosting site. Basically the same thing.

You should take out all the files it is messing up with, and use a file converter and directly convert it into the file RPG Maker uses. Sometimes it'll fix file type errors that it is having by this way. If you saved it as .png change it to bmp, then convert them back to png using an image file converter and put them back into your game and then change your game to locate those new images.

yes i dragged and dropped them into folders!
and yea i know bout the uploading to hosting sites... but i was planning on burning it to DVD's cause i already made a cool DVD cover for it and errthing! cause its for a gift!

and yes i did take out the files its messing up on and converted them ! thanx for the advice, IT WORKED!  however! now a file named ... "RTP.INI" is making it fail ... and i dun really think i can convert that!

seriously... thanx everyone for the great advice! im getting there slowly but surely!
