To become a radiology technician, there are a couple steps that you have to go through first. You have to fulfill you educational requirements by taking classes and then after successfully completing these classes you will have to take the certification exam. There are quite a number of schools that offer this course and some may have options such as part time and online classes. You can also choose from an associate degree to a bachelors’ degree. Here is a compilation of some of the best online schools for radiology technician training.

1.DeVry University – This school offers a B.B.A. in Health Services Management which is an online bachelor’s degree with courses that will give radiology technician students the fundamentals they will need to go into a radiology clinical program once they graduate.

2.South University – Here you will find an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health Science. This allows you to get the prerequisites you need for radiology technician course in less than a year.

3.Virginia College – at this institution you will find the Bachelors in Health Services Management. This program like the ones mentioned above will give you the prerequisites you need to get into a radiology technician training program.

4.Keiser University – this university offers an Associate in Medical Assisting. They are known for affordability and flexibility. This course will give you the laboratory skills you will need to begin your career as a radiology technician.

5.Baker College Online – here you will find the Bachelors in Health Science Administration program. Like the other programs mentioned here you will be able to get your prerequisite courses from this program.

6.American Intercontinental University – at this university you will find the AABA in Healthcare Admin. This is an accredited degree that will give you the courses you need to start your radiology technician program once you graduate.

7.Penn Foster College – this school is well known and offers the Associate in Health Info Tech program. This gives you somewhat of a fast track entry into radiology technician training and it is one of the more affordable options.

8.Florida Hospital College – here they offer the BS in Radiological Science program. This program does not require you to do another program upon completion and only requires you to sit the certification exam. This is one of the shortest ways to become a radiology technician and it is considered the best because you don’t ever need to go into a classroom

You will be able to find a lot of other online schools as well as traditional schools if you don’t want to pursue your degree online. Some of the above mentioned schools also have regular classes that you can go to if you would rather not go online. And the traditional classroom setting will have more courses and programs available than that of the online section. If you don’t choose from the above list just ensure that whichever program you choose is an accredited program as you don’t want to finish school just to hear that you cannot work since the program you took is not accredited.
