It had some pretty tough games, bro. Not all the first-party titles were killer (most weren't), but plenty of the third-party games were damn hard.

It definitely isn't Battletoads, or Ninja Gaiden levels of insanity.
It is pretty difficult, though, if you don't know what you're doing, or, say, get ganged up on by a bunch of skeletons in a hellevator.

So, I play this too. Picked it up when it was $2.50 Wearing meteor armor and mostly using an aqua scepter and free space lazer. Fun game. Started slow as hell, but really took off once I started fighting bosses and was worried less about any given skeleton smashing my copper-plated ***.

And WTF @ the robe being basically Sai'Kar's robe. That and the golden crown let me make a near perfect SaiKar character. Tis weird.

I'll take this opportunity to say that I'M HOOKED AGAIN! Oh God! Started a new save file to get more mileage, but I can't
wait for the end-game stuff. Anyone fought the WoF yet? Anyone fancy playing multiplayer some time?

And multiplayer sounds good. I run my game over Hamachi. PM if you're interested. I might make a fresh world instead of having a bunch of you assholes running around in my friends-only world.

I finally managed to man the heck up and kill Wall of Flesh. And then teleported back to my base, where I was promptly killed by some werewolves.

So I can see Hardmode is going to be interesting.

I'm full Adamantite now, going for Hallow. I see what you mean about the hardmode bosses. I get the
feeling that they are literally physically impossible to defeat unless in a group!

I thought I could take out the destroyer with a cursed shotgun and full adamantite. Clearly not. How the
hell do you stop all those probe things blasting your face into a crater?!

Having friends helps a lot. Try moving constantly. Gravitation Potions are also nice.
