A change in Administration, and Forum Engine.
« on: April 18, 2012, 04:03:10 AM »
It is my pleasure to announce some exciting new developments in Charas Forums history.

As of today, we will be bidding a fond farewell to the Administrative staff at Charas project.

A new Head admin has been appointed by Alex and Osmose, in hopes of rekindling things in our forums. Alex and Osmose would like to thank the old Admin staff for their years of Service and time spent overseeing things. There are many fond memories, and we welcome Sai Kar, Midnight, Razor, FFL and Ben back into the ranks of non administrative membership for the years to come. And in their place, we welcome Lucas_irineu as our new Head Administrator! Lucas has been one of our most active and loyal members since his joining, and I can personally think of nobody more deserving of this role. Congrats, Lucas, and good luck!

Additionally, with this turn of events, we can look forward to an updating of our Forum Engine from SMF Version 1.16 to SMF 2.2, a move that will bring with it countless new options from new themes and skins, to Enhanced forum security, a fresh look, and a plethora of new features and add-ons to make this forum a refreshing new face to match its change in administration.

The upgrade is going to go down on this coming Sunday, April the 23, 2012. The possibility for some downtime exists, and the staff at Charas Project appreciate your patience in this time of transition.

New things are on the horizon, from new generators, to a streamlined forum experience. Rad.

The same Lucas we all were afraid to give any powers to in the not-so-distant past?

Ok, I'm fine with this.

We all lack the bubbles. Except me, and only in news threads. Im pretty sure this is because of a horrific oversight. Or that out bubbles are in the mail.

(I presume by this point the user groups could stand a cleanup)

Well, congratulations to you.
You better not f*ck up, or else... ehrm... well, there isn't much I could do, actually. Or else I won't be happy, I suppose.

Yeah...

...I stick to my previous post. I wanna be some sort of mod again, now XD No way I want surprises like this to creep up on me without prior 'private forum' rumblings.

Having said that, well done :) I suggest you find some sort of 'super authoratitive' avatar that the newcomers will look up to and think you're amazing.

I agree, being an admin with no style just won't cut it. Rolling with no avatar is like saying you're not in with the latest trends and fashion.
