I'll pretend I have something to do with it, even though chances are it's mainly due to the fact that she got that new laptop.

Because "You should come back to Charas!" every other day totally didn't get old, you know.

But yeah, seeing as my phone has been my computer for like half a year now, the laptop is probably the main reason. That, and I kind of feel like using RPG Maker again. And I missed you guys. Yeah, that too.  :P

lol Sorry about that, fruckert.  Not sure why I thought it was somebody else's post.  I guess the layout just takes a little getting used to.  And welcome back to Natako too, apparently you're a pretty big deal :P.

So, I was hoping to find someone with some experience in C#/XNA or another engine that would be able to do all the things I'm hoping to do, either to code with me or just show me how, preferably both.  I really hope you guys didn't think I was looking for someone to just make a game for me, that's not how I like to do things.  I just know my strengths and weaknesses as they are now, and I've got zero experience with coding.  I think a team would be a great way to accomplish a lot more on a game and really move production along.  I don't really want to use an RPG Maker program, because from what I've seen and read about them, they're pretty limited as far as systems go, and one goal I have in mind is to make a game as accessible to as many people as possible.  Anyways, once I get my laptop situated and Dropbox worked out, I'll put up a thread for the project I've spriting for to show you guys what I had in mind.

Not quite. We've been undergoing a lot of reworking of the forums, and they're still a little broken and confusing. Once things are back to normal, you shouldn't have a problem.

I've got C#/XNA experience.
I can do stuff in both, but I haven't actually made anything vaguely game like.
Just a couple of utility classed FOR games that I haven't made yet.

Well anything you can show me or help me with would be greatly appreciated, fruckert.  I bought a book a loooong time ago for C#, but like I said never been able to find the time to sit down and learn the language and all that.  I got my Dropbox account setup, where should I go to post a game concept and show what I have so far?  I don't want to clutter up some place I shouldn't.

If you're dead set on XNA, then the Miscellaneous board is where you want to go.
As for help, I highly recommend O'Reilly's Programming C# 4.0 book.
6th edition.

You can find it online if you're that kind of person, if not than when you buy it they should give you a PDF, that way you don't have to wait for the physical copy.
It's a very good read, though, and makes learning C# fairly easy.
It's still learning a programming language, though, so don't expect it to be easy easy.
Previous experience with programming (even if it's GML, like in my case) will go a long ways.
