If Charas were a book...
« on: September 20, 2014, 04:57:40 AM »
How would you wish to be portrayed in it? Or other member/ character concepts you know of played out? What would the genre be? Just a little somethign that crossed my mind when I was trying to decide if I could sell the Dentverse as the next Hitchers and briefly thought about using some of Dave's Chara's experience.

O.o That is just a awesome spin off of Charas Lore with a bit of drama and adventure! Nice. I'd pick it up for sure, and I don't even go for that Tom Clancy stuff. XD

I'm that guy that starts as a stupid dick, but grows more mature as the book goes on. Then I finally do something cool, get killed off by the people in power, and revived with the dragonballs years later to have minor appearances.

I'm that quintessential "cool guy" who really doesn't have a place in the story and only has a 2-dimensional personality, but is treated as being somehow important anyway. More than likely, there would be some heroic sacrifice and bitchin' sunglasses. You know, that poorly-written character that the author is trying to project himself onto in an attempt to live out his fantasies as being a cool guy, but doesn't know enough about being cool to make into something actually interesting.

I'm that guy who appeared at the beginning and has a habit of disappearing for chapters on end only to return for a few sentences making the reader go "who was that guy again?"  Entirely 50% hit or miss on whether or not my sentences are interesting.

Ya know I realized I didn't post what I think a Charas book would be like or what kind of of character. Let me try characterization since we all know I'll full of Charas lore.  So yeah I'd be that slightly abnormal, charismatic guy whom everyone wonders if he was raised by serial kilkers or just very liberal parents. An enternal optimist, but deep down inside knows everything will turn to **** in the end but never says it aloud, who is always seeking silly dated concepts such as "truth, justice and love". I'd also, surprisingly, work for the government chasing down cryptids, aleins and all sorts of other things for them thinking I'm helping people understand something greater than themselves only to learn halfway through the middle of the second act that all my work has been to help the goverment cover this up by using me like a tool. I'd be broken down and feel guilty and I'd try to run away, but  my awesomely hot and sexy partner would get me out of my funk and by the beginning we would turn all our pitiful resources against the government only to go out in a blaze of glory, but  We'd learn in end of the final act that my partner is a traitor and she'd shoot me. You'd think I was dead but now I'd wake up in female body and find out my partner lost faith and sold us out so we could live together with my mind wiped as a lesbian lovers.

i'm a food product. I don't undergo any dramatic character development. Except towards the end, when they run out of the triangles necessary to produce me.

APEX IS PEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOPLE.

Dibs on being the tragic, fallen hero, ala Two Face, who just wanted to make the world a better place but became no better than the filth he was trying to get rid of.

Fine I'll take on the role as the stiff-upper-lipped corporate CEO. Driven by duty and strict liberal ideals, never wavering, never faltering. Always improving an d refining the production of Apex to feed the world. We sacrifice some for the good of the community.
But in the plot twist, it turns out that babies is in fact a bi product of the Apex production and the only way that the human race can reproduce. However, this last tidbit of information is something that only the hero has found out.
Unfortunately, I did not know about the babies as the illuminati scientists are keeping it under tabs.  It is only revealed when I accidentally end up in bed with a reincarnated version of my grandmother, lost and disturbed I question the reason for my existence and the ideals I follow. If I take the lowest of the low to make Apex, then that also means that the lowest of the low are the one granted immortality. So after seeking guidance I will smash the cogs of the machine as a fitting revolution rages outside. And in that action, my first virtuous action, I do something good. But in the end I ironically turn into the CEO of Apocalypse bringing about the end of the earth.
