  • I made a fortune in toothpicks, but I lost it all in a fire.

My dryer caught fire about a month ago. That was pretty scary.

Then we got a new dryer, and it stopped being scary. Clean clothing is no joke.

One of my friend's houses is packed into a dense city neighborhood. One of the abandoned buildings caught fire and it quickly spread to the next closest house. Their house was next. For two hours we waited to see if the firefighters could put it out before her house went up too. Luckily, they were able to but there was some smoke and fire damage. Also, the lingering risk of embers in the air. It was terrifying.

Moral of the story. Fires suck. Glad you're okay, mate!

I'm not sure ones house burning down counts as a miracle, but I'm glad you're okay.

Yeah I know that feeling he was experiencing except for me I had to watch the eves smolder and hope against hope that we could wet it down with the flames trying to lick it from not even ten feet away. o-o;

Yeah I have. @-@ Watching mom dealing with the fire insurance and not being able to help much is not overly fun either.

They don't know. The Honda is where the fire started BUT nobody can say why exactly or rather much can be speculated on but nothing conclusive can be said.

XD You misread. The house didn't burn down. The siding melted and the cars burnt down. It was close though! 1,500 degree fire not even ten feet away. The eves of the house started to smoke but the fire fighters and us managed to keep it too wet to burn.

UPDATE: Apparently my mom and I can't go home due to the foam being used is making user alergic. o.o; For her I'd expect this but me? I'm only allergic to bees I always thought. A friend says it's common for people to get bad sick from the foam though. So her living there right now is impossible.Fret not though as she's got a nice hotel room till it's dissipated. Means free WI-FI for me. ^-^ Which allowed me to finally get my new 2003 at least. Now to convert Misadventures and see if it works right...

God punished the hell outta your cars, but at least you and yo' ma are alright.
Do you have any pets? I hope they're alright too, if they exist.
