I dropped the cash on it. Unlocks 2AM here today, I'll probably wont make it that late though (I wake up fairly early for work, so staying up late is hard for me.) so I'll let you guys know the verdict first thing in the morning.

I wanna have a goal in mind though, so someone give me an idea for a super quick game I can make just testing out the basic assets and features, and if I can actually make it, I'll post it. :P

Well, I've been trying to learn very basic Javascript on the side *VERY BASIC.*, so I was pretty excited when they announced they were switching to that. Other than that the side view battle system is pretty exciting for me. If you wanna chat while I try it out, we should! You're a lot more savvy with the program than I am.

This is a channel where a lot of the included javascript pluggins originate, they were made by a person name Yanfly and they're all pretty neat. They are just examples of stuff you can accomplish using Javascript in conjunction with RM. Worth checking out.

Quick game? In RPG Maker? XD Yeah like that ever works out but if you could? Packman or something arcade like that's simple to field test and modify. Hmm though I am curious how impressive is the monster code? Like is it as a sophisticated as RPG Maker VX Ace? Or is like this new set in RPG maker 2003 that got new labels....but not many new commands to play with. =/ Jeeze no wonder more and more people are goign CBS.

Okay hate to kick this topic and all but I gotta say? MV is a brilliant step in the right direction! I just found my twenty day free trial, available on the official site, and maaaa is it impressive! Auto-Caterpillar, Side Veiw Togglable and so much more! I'm especially a fan of the in-game character generator. It's limited but if I'd had something like that on VX hoo boy I'd have been able to cut my searching for resources down by half  at least. Only thing I'm not a fan of is you don't seem to be able to change the weapon graphics as they appear in battlem but other than that I hope more makers follow this trend.
