I'm guessing you fell into a vat of furniture polish as a child and now need a constant supply of the stuff just to stay alive... however it grants you the super ability to lend an alluring shine to any surface you touch! You now use your power to fight crime and polish things! Mostly the latter but once you polished a floor when the penguin was walking by and he almost slipped over.
