You look like my grandmother.edit: when she was young. You don't look like you're 80.
Last night I had a dream that Zerlina and I were pirates. It was... beautiful.
Originally posted by ZerlinaYeah it's rememberance day, Saturday. I always cry at Rememberance Day Mass when they show all the slideshow things with the sad music. In choir we all sing a really haunting arrangement of Flanders' Fields. If I had an mp3 I'd post it, because I'm sure it would make everyone cry. It's a really big deal at my school, and I think more than anything these past few years when we're all affected by wars we can't really control. It's a horrible feeling when you know you're basically on a car with a crazy driver who won't listen to anyone unless everyone can throw him out. On a side note:My grandmother was involved in the war. When she was growing up, the Japanese attacked her village. They took all the babies and threw them into the air and caught them on bayonets, they speared pregnant women in the stomachs, raped a bunch of people, beat up, stabbed, shot and killed lots of men. She managed to escape getting hurt, by wearing boys' clothes, covering her face in soot and then hiding in their farm.A few years after she moved to the capital. And on the way back from bombing Japan, the Americans bombed Manila (not Nuclear. And I'm not sure if it was literally "bombed" or just attacked). She went through a lot so I have a lot of respect for her. I'm not trying to spread hate. I'm just saying what happened.
I wore a poppy. It fell off somewhere.
