After unmod was killed we weren't exactly sure what to do; there were a lot of topics there which, while not being spam, weren't the sort of topic you'd bother creating in all of all. Personal threads, and sudden thoughts, which created really interesting topics. It's like unmod created a place where you could speak your mind and not have to worry about whether what you posted was 'worth posting'.
We don't want to bring Unmod back, but we were thinking of an alternative... A sort of 'informal all of all', a forum that's moderated but in which the threads are allowed to wander far more freely. That place would, probably, be called the lounge.
Or, to put it another way...
"All right you cool cats and sexy ladies, welcome to the Lounge. Whether you need to just cool off or or turn on the heat, this is the place to be. You had unmod, but y'all let it get too wild, and there's only one place I like to be wild.
Whatchoo talking bout?
Oh c'mon baby you know. So all right you swingers out there, just lay back, and let it chill. Just remember that this ain't no groovy town, this is the Lounge, so all y'all better keep that spam away from here."
I really don't know. Just, read it in a failure of an Isaac Hayes voice.
Either way, I want your opinions. You're the people who told us to clean up the spam and get rid of unmod; is 'The lounge' a good idea, or are we just going to get a repeat of the unmod situation?
Feel free to discuss, but it'd be helpful if you put a definate 'yes' or 'no' to the idea in your post so I know where the general thoughts are on this.
Cheers.
-
I'd say, Lounge seems to be quite good if it's going to fit personal/real life issues and thoughts, leaving world-facts and general talk or the like to All of All. (Note I don't know the literal meaning of Lounge, so if world facts fit there as well, I dunno)
-
You're the people who told us to clean up the spam and get rid of unmod
I'm still wondering who said this, besides the person who made the "We Need More Mods" thread.
-
I dont know what happened because i've been very unactive on Charas as of recent. I believe it should be restated in this thread for the uninformed (me).
-
So that's one vague answer and two non-answers.
-
I'll be honest, I don't think I should be allowed to express my opinion on a matter like this.
That being said, I'd be for such a thing. But it would have to be made clear that it's a place for quick or otherwise narrow ranged topics. And that it would be a sophisticated club. With jazz bands. And a bar that didn't serve anything. The bartender's there, but since nobody orders anything, he's eternally using his washrag to polish that single glass for eternity whilst guests go about their sexy business.
-
Well would we be allowed to post things like the thread Dragonium made? The one I went kind of crazy on.
If not, then i'll just settle for All of All.
-
If there's gonna be a bartender, Razor must be it.
As for the people who said charas wasn't strict enough... Well, quite a few people spoke about it in various places. I hate to point the finger at individuals but...
Well, for some members, including me, it's more like:
"Hey, some people have a drug problem, we need more cops to bust them for illegal drug use so that they can break the habit."
You can look around my posts, I don't think you'll find a lot that are just spam, and I'm surely not the only one having very few spam.
So yeah, the main problem isn't really the Staff not being strict enough, it's mostly members that couldn't stop spamming. But having the Staff not being strict enough didn't really help.
The spam is almost entirely because people are able to spam in Unmod and they forget that there's a boundary between there and the rest of the forum. People really just have to learn to leave the spam in Unmod, and make All of All posts relevant and have a point to them.
And the mod thing, yeah.
Perhaps if mods could be like, very sever for a couple months, after that, charas would be spam free, or at least less than now.
I know that of late I have been posting on the spammy side, but I've tried to keep on topic while doing so... if that makes any sense.
Plus, I hardly ever see a mod actually modding anymore. o.o Its weird.
I'll be honest: Unmod is really encouraging the stuff we don't like. However, deleting it may cause spam to leak out more than it already is. Do posts in Unmod count toward your total? Because making them not count could try and bring down the spam a bit.
I am actually trying to fix everything that's going on here. I apparently had the power to cause it, so I must have the power to put an end to it. Right?
These were the sorts of posts that gave me the impression that people wanted stricter modding. Although not everyone agreed, we decided to give it a try. It killed the immediate problem, anyway :p
Also, for catching up purposes, this thread is a good starting point:
http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23468.0
Also relevant: Unmod. And all threads made in the last few weeks of unmod.
-
Unmod was REALLY stupid...Maybe you'd like to theme the new room a bit, just so it doesn't get so annoyingly random.
-
I believe that if it were to happen, then it should be subdivided into groups (humor, quickies, srs bsns, chill zone, etc.) to try and keep a certain feel in each area. Hell, you could just go ahead and add this to the existing AoA and be done with it. Leave the current iteration of AoA as a general AoA, but have a group of subsections or something.
-
I think it sounds like a good idea, will allow people to speak there minds and thoughts but not have all the stupid posts
-
A lounge would be chill instead of unmod, but I think the whole thing is a little stupid in the fist place. Isn't it an option to be just a bit more lax on the AOA rules (which, I think, for a forum called All Of All, are enforced at silly, and often, un-needed times), instead of trying to figure out where to make this relaxed but non-spam enviroment? Isn't was AoA was supposed to be in the first place?
Sometimes it makes me chuckle a bit when I see what qualifies as spam on AoA. So someone wants to talk about mallard ducks. So what? This is a forum for all of all isn't it? No duh it has nothing to do with RM2k, that's why he didn't put it in one of the MANY forums we have for every aspect of the program. Some people might find this topic completly uninteresting, but that doesn't mean it's spam. Just don't post there, and it will fade away.
I just think splitting all this stuff up into smaller and smaller catagories is just plain silly. It's sort of like making a chatroom called 'general', then kicking someone out because they didn't talk about music, art, or a cool new website (which seems to be all that this forum is made up of).
"NO IDIOT! YOU NEED TO GO TO GENERAL CHAT 2! THAT'S WERE THEY TALK ABOUT UNRELATED THINGS! ....Coming into General Chat talking about ducks... I KNOW! let's make a DUCK CHAT, or maybe a GENERAL CHAT3 so it doesn't get confusing for everyone!"
.... anyway ...yeah
I'm not saying that there should be topics all over the place like "OOOMG! you won't belive this.... but I just bought a ROOT BEER! LOL!". That's... just dumb spam. People buy stuff all the time. But if someone wants to talk about root beer (Maybe versus other sodas, how you don't like diet Barqs, but cream soda really grabs your bag? I dunno, it's just an example)... I mean, talking about root beerdoesn't seem very relevant, but why should stuff in AoA have to be relevant to the rest of the forum. If it was relevant to any of the other forums we wouldn't be posting here. IF someone REALLY wants to talk about rootbeer, what's the big deal? (also see: Mallard Ducks) :)
-
What I said in that thread was an observation. Anyway, I like the idea, and the fact that is has a somewhat mod activity can prevent it from being an unmod.. wait.. that was really self explanatory... All in All I like the idea.
-
I honestly see no qualms in bringing back unmod. The problem (at least in my opinion, which might not be valid I only became active at the begining of the "want mor modz" stuff) wasn't so much that spam was leaking from unmod into all of all, it was that there were no active all of all mods regulating it.
I would try unlocking unmod for... maybe a month? If the same problem occurs then you'll know what the cause is and you can go through with this gem of a plan.
-
I kind of agree with Meis, if you make a board called the "Lounge", you've basically made "The Unmod 2" and slapped a fancy title on it and gave it a bartender. Personally, that sounds like a pretty awesome upgrade. I had no problems with unmod, but I'd also have no problems with moderation and spam control in said "Lounge". Just to prevent threads such as...
Title: fhadhafdhafd
Subject: ****ing your motharrrrr!!!
Content: Hahaha, I is allow'd do this! NYAH kyeah
You know what I mean? Just to prevent the truly and utterly spamalicious, useless topics.
-
Yeah, people actually want a place to make riot, y'know...Archem's idea sounds really good. Subdivide it into some categories and so on...
-
So that's one vague answer and two non-answers.
Oh, right, sorry, I was wondering about something mentioned in the first post. I forgot how that completely goes outside the guidelines of the rules instated by the phantom people. So, anyway, to make up for it my answer is I really don't care. None of this has ever actually mattered to me in the slightest bit. People make the most ridiculously big deals about something as stupid as a forum. It's silly.
Still, though, I'm really curious about each and every member of the resistance who complained about the spam on the forum.
-
Hahahahahahahha, fuckin' a coasterkrazy, I was waiting for someone else to say that ****. That's why I think we should just post in AoA and be happy. If you really need to rage around, or riot, as almeidaboo said, then I've got an idea. Try going outside.
-
why.
I know im not the most active member here but why.
Shinotebasisjfhjdsjfjdskfjd is spot on.
High five.
-
No lounge. Don't make me lose any more respect than I already have for this forum.
-
Right... Well by my count it's about 5 for and 4 against so far... But the 'againsts' have been a bit stronger than the 'fors' :p
Bear in mind that we're not seeking your approval for something we already plan to do. We have no idea whether it'd be good for the forum so it's honestly up to you.
-

The problem is getting people to be civil...I mean, this forum has a huge history of people going bersek outta nowhere (Warxe, Carmem and Ghost...)I'd really like someone to explain to me what the f*ck happenedwith those 3 when they went crazy!), that's why AoA must remais modded and clean of random ****.
-
The trouble with "guize, it's a forum, it's not srs bsns" is that we need a certain level of strictness to operate. Sure, we could be relaxed about things, that can't hurt. What we don't want is to become so relaxed that we end up with:
Member: SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM lol
Mod: Hey, cut that out.
Member: IT'S JUST A FORUM LIGHTEN UP GOD DAMN IT I HAVE MANGA IN MY SIG.
There has to be a limit to it. And, like I said before about Unmod, if you allow people to spam, it's going to lower the tone of the whole place a little. I'm not totally decided about the Lounge, but I'm leaning towards a no.
-

And if we keep making places to cater to that attitude, it will help, how?
-
Not places man, "place". Out of that place, spam and randomness is forbidden. Reme, ber when your parents said that some things have a right time and place? There ya go.
-
Hay doodz, i haz gerat idea! lets keps thinsg teh saem!
^ Spam can be quite useful if done properly!
-
I'm going to start making people pay tax to have my wisdom quoted in sigs. I don't have enough to spare.
Just kidding, it's nice that other people recognise how right I am.
-

Exactly. Maybe everyone else is tired of charas being that place? And no, places. This has been tried much more than once.
Making a place for spam and random BS is just like saying that it should be a part of the way you act here in the first place.
Anyway, this is dumb, I'm going to go outside.

Yeah. I didn't give you credit because it's about the message, not the messenger.
-
I really wanna post another something about all this, but the only thing that's going on in my head is a big "Who cares?".
-
*Agrees more with Meiscool than will ever Archem*
-
Hey man, that's cool. I don't agree with most of the **** that spews forth from my...

Drag, I can agree with that, but...
Member: SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM lol
Mod: Hey, cut that out.
Member: IT'S JUST A FORUM LIGHTEN UP GOD DAMN IT I HAVE MANGA IN MY SIG.
Point out to me when this has ever happened... And isolated instances aren't really major enough to be counted.
-
I spam, and I have manga in my sig.
But I'm not a useable example.
-
Point out to me when this has ever happened... And isolated instances aren't really major enough to be counted.
1) Someone posts in an annoying manner.
2) Someone edits their posts to make the manner less annoying.
3) Someone complains and a big raeg kicks off.
Et cetera. What I'm saying is that although a relaxed atmosphere is good, we need a certain degree of strictness, or everything kicks off.
-
Nothing is funny about SOMEONE OMG abusing their powers. Aside from that, YOU GUYS made it into it's own thread, I stopped bitching after Bluhman apologized.
I KNOWS you are talking about me cuz I'm selfabsorbed.

To make the point more valid, I suggest that we increase the number of manga-sigged spammers.
-
lol
I'd go for that.
-
Indeed, you can never has enough.
In all honesty, Charas can split in two for all I care, I'm done with this.
EDIT: I just realized this. This is the only thing going on right now that's of any interest on this forum besides a couple of small games in production. Are we just discussing this because the rest of the forum is practically dead? If not, then I still have 12 posts to go until 3000.
-
Jesus XD How does this have any less point than anything else on this forum? The members here spend a portion of their lives typing stuff here, and this is going to affect how everyone communicates, so I'd say it has a point.
But anyway, clearly there's a lot of resistance to this, so maybe it's better if charas was left as is. I don't want to cause a rebel uprising just for suggesting a new bloody forum gets put in >.>
-

Uh... what? You lost me there... I just mean I feel like I would've noticed an insane abundance of spam, as in SPAMSPAMSPAMLOLOLOLOLOL etc, but I haven't seen anything like that. To prove that I'm not blind to everything, I understand you're referencing Archem and Ed. Is it REALLY that bad? I mean I haven't seen any big fights or anything over their posts except for maybe "We need more mod staff," which I look at as just the opinion of one member anyway, not really a representation of the populace.
-
o.o
Sheesh. Its just a forum. You don't have to argue over it. If you don't like the idea of it, Make a peaceful protest of not posting there. _sweat_
EDIT:
Today at 06:06:04 PM was my post of agreeing with meis. Two fricking seconds away. TWO.

I've got an idea.
Rename "All of All" as "The Lounge" and get on with it.
It's not like we didn't do threads like those before the Unmod hit anyway.

Wow, I joined at a prime forum time huh? I'm guessing we are passed the "Golden Age of Charas"?
Me: Hello gents. New guy here, nice to meet you! :hi:
Forum Goers: :yell: :yell: :yell:
Me: _sweat_
I'm not sure what past events have led up to this, but the first thing I noticed when I came here is I was very confused at where I was supposed to be posting. I had to compare and contrast Requests and Character Creation to see which forum I was supposed to ask in. I finally just had to broaden the requests to encompass more than just characters. I think Charas should rename some of the forums to lessen the confusion, because from what I see (and I see very little right now) this is all being caused by a big communication error.

Some cases are different though, like this one:
(Names have been changed to protect the guilty.)
Moron: Gimme stuffz! :D

We have plenty of stuff going on, or planned for the future. Don't scare people with your prophecising. D:

Aww, lookit that. Dragonium bein' all important and stuff. Brings tears to mah eyes.

Just thought I'd point it out seeing as how dull Charas has been lately.

Yeah seriously. People like that are just jerks...
Just ignore the fact that I came here primarily for help and resources. _sweat_

a lounge sounds preety sexy to me :]]

There's a difference. The example used was someone who wanted help but was being an idiot about it.

YOU MUST EMPHASIZE! (http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23674.0)
-
People complaining that charas has been dull lately... stfu plz kthanks
First off, charas IS just a forum whether you like it or not, and if it's your only source of entertainment then please, take a step outside of your house for a moment.
Meiscool, stop gettin' all period on us when Dragonium posts. You hold too many grudges and sometimes I feel you just love to argue. Even if it's about stupid ****. :|
And honestly, this whole thread is just one big fail. You're all pointing fingers at people and trying to discreetly attack one another(*cough*dragonium was attacking meiscool*cough* while you're NOT being very discreet).
Settle down people, where's the love?
And as for my vote on the Lounge, I say nay. We've got all of all, we tried Unmod. The way I see it, the Lounge would just be a combination of the two. It'd be pointless and confusing to new members.
-
Not many of the new m,embers are the one's doing the complaining, It's the older members. I think a lounge can be for random things, Charas isisn't my ONLY fourm of entertainment( But it is fun to watch drama un-fold with a bag of pop corn in my hands, Seriously the drama that happens on charas is like the S*** my mom watches) but I like to have fun here Never-teh-less-zorz.
I realised most people spend more time on this fourm than there games themselves. I'm not saying it's wrong or anything but I'd like to see more game(s) finished!
Act 1 Scene 2:
And furthormore there are a few things that people would like to post that stray away from All of all( but there are very few).
Everyone wants to point fingers at the New mod staff because a few locked posts, It's not srs businnes, but having a lounge for those locked posts would
Subchapter 1. give room for those type of threads
Subchapter 2. Give a place for people to vent, or just sway away from basic topic
Intemission. And keep the mods from banning those and keep to the normal All of all,
-
Everything Dren has just posted is true and must be adhered to for the good of the colony.
I realised most people spend more time on this fourm than there games themselves. I'm not saying it's wrong or anything but I'd like to see more game(s) finished!
Agreed, we are an RPG Maker forum after all, we should have more games. However the main reason games fail is not because of the forum. It's generally because we try to make them too big and we get bored, or our computers break, or we can't get the resources.
-
true true, I can't make a sequal till I get enough resourses, but I want to badly. But mostly I'd just like to help others complete their games, Or do a partner game :|
-
I think the reason the forum fails is that not enough people play other people's games. I can see why when the game... you know... looks gay. But when something promissing shows up (example, Drakiyth's Crystal Crazy) I don't think enough people give it a try. Especially the more dedicated members to the forum; mods, Archem, X_marks_the_ed, myself, etc.
It is one of the reasons why I'm considering not to bother finishing a demo for my game... I mean, I can't think of a whole lot more that can hurt a game maker's pride than to put forth hours and hours of HARD work and EFFORT into something only to have a select few comment on it.
-

You should still do it. Respected members get much more recognition for games. Drakiyth, though his game is pretty awesome, is relatively unknown.
I do hear you that games need more hype. We are a game forum. When someone is seriously working on a game, we should have front-page hype and ad-banners and such. Anything to draw attention to, y'know, games.
-
I don't think enough people give it a try. Especially the more dedicated members to the forum; mods, Archem, X_marks_the_ed, myself, etc.
I just never feel like it. :/
Now you make me want to. Curse your witchcraft!

-
kinda off topic but who's game has a girl from disega as a splash screen to there game
-
I just never feel like it. :/
Neither did I until about a month ago. Now I feel obligated to act the part.
It is annoying.
-
I'm not, actually. :3
Alright, well then I really don't know. I thought you were based on Ed's signature and Archem's locked threads. I honestly have no idea what you are saying, but either way, you never answered my question. So I'm just going to leave this thread, and ignore all of Charas' "problems" that I really don't think exist. Whoever said this came up because Charas didn't have much going on (can't remember who) I agree with. Really, nothing was wrong. At all. The only thing I saw that caused this entire snowball effect was the "We need more mod staff" thread. I wouldn't let one opinion like that cause so much "drama."
I've said it once and I'll say it again, THIS FORUM HAS NEVER HAD A SPAM PROBLEM.
EDIT: Just read the more recent posts, and in regards to the more current topic, I completely agree. The only thing I would like to add is that games don't often seem to get finished when someone is working on one alone. I feel like one of the only finished games I have seen by active members here is the Chain Game, and we worked together on that.
-
I've said it once and I'll say it again, THIS FORUM HAS NEVER HAD A SPAM PROBLEM.
You know what's brought all this negative thinking about? People making drama for lulz when the issues with editing arose. Since then everyone seems to be watching everyone else's movements for the slightest hint that Charas is going downhill.
I'm not going to argue with you CK, because you're right. The trouble arose from nothing, but because people decided to dramatise it. Trying to make things exciting is not cool.
I'm going to go with CK and get out of this thread now. I'm busy lately, and my heart's just not in this place when everyone's complaining about the pithiest of pithy things. If you all conjure up "Charas' problems" out of thin air, it doesn't do the morale in the community any favours. Go boot up RPG Maker and do something constructive, instead of pointing fingers. Less blaming, more gaming.
-
That defeats the object of having the Lounge. It was proposed as a less-formal, but still moderated, All of All.
My point being that All of All could already be informal.
Suppose we do create "The Lounge", it'd be basically All of All, but with fewer rules, meaning having All of All would be pointless from then on.
-

Just to comment on this response. I don't actually think all people do for entertainment is charas. I was being sarcastic to make a point that Charas isn't gonna always be amazingly entertaining. And also, you weren't the only saying there was nothing going on Charas.
I agree that it's pretty disappointing when you put effort in a game and get little responses. I think that's just cuz there's not much emphasis on Charas being an RPGMaker forum. Which isn't anyone's fault, just over the years RPGMaker became less and less important to the members and fewer members still worked on projects.
Less blaming, more gaming.
lolz, catchy

>.>
*spends way too much time here for good*
I like that slogan.
-
I hate you guys. 4 days and look at how many topics I have to read.
Here I thought you guys were cool cats and sexy ladies. Psh.
EDIT: I read through it and skipped the lengthy ones I couldn't skim in the process of scrolling down. The whole idea behind the lounge was not for the Charas-educated type topics such as music, politics and broken penises, but for the topics like this:
http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23287.0
http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23266.0
http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23362.0
http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23322.0
Things that are less "Lets get a topic going (and when that topic's going we will always discuss it hard)" and more "I have something to say and you can put your input in on it if you want."
I dunno, call me crazy, call me nuts, but don't call me Shirley.

I would like to see unmod deleted, just to see how much each person's post count goes down by.

Duuuuuuuuude, read the old topics. Warxe was made a mod and quit. Took the job back because no one else could do it THEN he deleted forum gaming just so we wont ask'em again. (Dude must've had a LOT of time cause the old mod system was **** slow)
Carmen and Ghostclown became OMG strict. To the point were we could do nothing. Also they fought with staff alot. But why?
Well Felix hit it on the nail. The "older" crowd. Please shut up. Stop asking for the old Charas. The "Golden age" or whatever. It's gone. Make a new age, start liking the new members cause without them this place is done. Gawddddddddddd...

I know I said I was done with this thread but this piqued my curiosity. No one else could do it? How is that so?

becuase her sig is mesmerising

Not sure if anyone already said something like this since I only read the first post, but here goes.
We should have a The Lounge place, as long as the mods check it every once in awhile, so that spam is a bit more contained. It wouldn't be totally unmod-esque that way, since there would still be some ridiculous semblance of authority. And that's all I have to say.

In all honesty? You guys bitched... a LOT! To the point where we didn't really know who to pick because...
1. Everyone was arguing.
2. Everyone demanded to be Mods because they think they can do better then current Mods. Truth is those who ask make the WORST mods because they appreciate it less.
3. Most of the people bitching only made our job harder because it is IMPOSSIBLE to satisfy everyone without making more people angry.
4. The older crowd tend to be really harsh to newbies. Ya'll mock them for their horrid typing (Speed chat is lame but it's their time) and force them to make welcome topics BEFORE considering helping them only to mock them again. Reaaaaaaaal mature. There is no damn rule that says we have to make those ugh topics. I will slap whoever says otherwise.
So yeah... I woulda preferred someone SANE (I wanted anyone BUT Warxe) but limited choices...

Midnight, what happened to us? We havn't had wild sex in months. Get your *** over here right now.

Can I join?

Oh Meis! How I have missed your AMAZING head game! *glomps and drags Archem in*

On the topic of charas games and the chain game, I'd like to say that I think 'the chain game 1' was one of the best things that's happened to charas in years and the response it got was pathetic... Mostly because no one actually realised it was finished, I reckon XD
If you're looking for some evidence of charas doing the job it was born for then go look at the chain game 1 thread. I still can't quite believe that 8 people managed to collaborate so successfully on that thing considering charas' history.

Hmm... I suppose you may just be right, but I'm oblivious to this sort of thing I suppose because it has absolutely never applied to me whatsoever. I have certainly never bitched about anything around here for reasons I've stated in this thread (it's a forum lol). I also never demanded to be a mod, I would just throw my name in for those "NEW MODS!" threads even though I knew I was a bit nonexistent in terms of forum rule crap and such. It is impossible to satisfy everyone, which is why I say screw the whiners. :P There's nothing to whine about. And finally, yeah what's with that about what people do to new people?
I just can't get over the question of who "you guys" is though. I guess I'm looking for names, but thinking about it now I suppose I was always a bit oblivious about it all.
I couldn't leave this thread... It's too enjoyable. Things are starting to make sense to me a bit. :) I will say, though, if I were you guys (the mods), I would do less and not more for the reason you said about satisfying everyone. If people don't like it, they can leave. You're never gonna have everyone completely satisfied, but I think there's a constant inflow and outflow of members so the forum doesn't really die. I think the number of members would also maximize this way. It's kinda like utilitarianism, which would be the most economic choice over all.
-
I'm saying you guys as in people in general or the guilty party, =p. And I agree, stop caring so much about pleasing everyone and just do your best. Mods are the most hated members next to n00bs. <<
-
But I love you guys. :( In fact, most of you are my favorite members.
And I swear I've never bitched. I know there was one time I made a shitty comic about Dragoon del Sol just because of a combination of me not liking what he was saying and being bored and then he left. I know I could have brought it up to him personally, but I thought I'd rather just go all out than slowly start a flame war or be a "mini mod." (God forbid that term. I hate it, as I got it many times when I was only trying to help back when we had crazy mods.) Maybe it was the wrong thing to do, but to be honest, I was really glad he left. Although I could have maybe taken a better approach, I felt that the gain was greater than the loss. Sorry if what I did was wrong, though, I can see how it was (though it didn't get much of a negative response, surprisingly).
Really, though, I love you guys. I just feel bad when you say "you guys" because I have to be part of the "you guys" it seems.
-
I love mods, I love newbies, but I haaaaaate people who think stupid stuff is funny... *stares angrily at unnamed individuals*

You could've just said my name ya' know

You know what: yes.
This whole idea of "omg charaz hav so many problumz" is arse-gravy of the third degree. The problem is that people spend too much time bickering about non-existant things, just to give themselves something to do. What you should be doing is working with RPG Maker.
There is no problem with the forums. Quit your whining.
Done with this thread now. Members: keep making games and being cool folks. Whiners: shut it.
-
Good thinking. It's official, folks. Thread's done. Draggy said it. No spam confirming it, ok?
-
Yeah! Less blaming, more gaming! Now I think I can really be done with this thread.
-
I need to get back to working on the Alpha Force... Oh, hey, first post in this thread yay.
-
Yes, Bluh. Yes you do.
-
Okay, so we're done with discussion. Just one more thing I'd like to ask though: as a kind of headcount, just out of curiosity, how many of you are seriously working on games? Doesn't matter how far along you are, but how many people have something in the works?
I have... something. Coding is pretty slow-going, but I'm getting there slowly but surely.
-
Too many other projects to work seriously on a game.
-
I am. But you'll never play it.
Oh, I have been making a fully voiceacted 'crappy game to beat all crappy games' with a friend for a few months. It's evolved into something truly epic. I'll put it up when it's finished.
-
I've got a game. No battle system yet, but most of the first chapter of the game is completed.
-
This forum doesn't take much to get people to switch topics
-
Yeah, we drift in the wind.
-
I have a project in the works...
Still...
-
I'm very serious about my project, but it's huge and finishing it may be impossible or just take too damn long. But I am pretty serious about it, most of the major system coding is done, I just need to make plot events and stuff. I'm maybe 1/4 of the way done putting the story from MS Word to RPGMaker.
