Yes, their members all have dialup, which is part of why they DO have dynamic IPs. There are two types of IPs, static and dynamic. Static is what most people with broadband have - they have a dedicated and unique connection that connects with the same identifier all the time. Dynamic IPs change, and are associated with dial up services, where the program chooses from a list of numbers to call and your IP is assigned based on that number, the number of people already connected, etc.

And AOL does not provide broadband. They provide a browser that is "optimized" for broadband that costs $20 a month. It's total crap.

Couldn't pop, pop2, pop3 and Raffles be connected? For one, they're all banned for doing something bad. And they all come from the UK. So maybe Raffles is pop. Or pop2. And pop3 was just a copycat. Or pop3 was a friend of pop and pop2.

Ok, pop3 was just some random member, I'm not sure who, I need to think to see if anyone else I know got online. Raffles is NOT Josh, for the simple reason Josh cant spell, only know's things about wars and always has a go at me because I'm on the internet all the time, now, why would he copy me? Also he couldent lie to me without giving in, he is to weak, he actualy thought he should do a welcome thread EVERY time he logged on, how could someone that stupid be raffles? I dout it, and Josh has this thing against natsi's and everything, alough he does have TONS of books about WWI and WWII, I dout he would pretend to like hitler just to insult people he doesent know, alough, once again, more the topic are things he thinks I do, he thinks i take drugs etc.

So... Josh could be Raffles due to the topic's etc. But Josh it to stupid to use propper grammer and spelling.

Razor:

"In the original thread that spawned this one, on the first page, one of my later comments has my name in red for some reason. I didn't HTML that. So what happened?"

Just a random fart in the Charas Forum code, perhaps. I can't really explain it, but it's nothing to worry about.

As for this whole "Raffles=someone else" thing, here's what I believe:

Raffles, unless he was once in to RPGMaking, really wouldn't know what or where Charas is. He could be a random occurence, but it seems more likely that he knew where Charas was before Raffles came onto the boards. So he could be someone obscure, or someone from another board.

Actually, I think he kind of observed Charas before going here. He knew something was wrong with Charas, and he played in on it. Bad idea, perhapse, but he did proove he was right. There was something wrong with Charas, and people here emphesise it by reacting the way he wanted.

So, what I want to say with this, unless you all keep up with the behaviour, I'm almost 100% sure somebody equal to Raffletard will come here.

I don't see anything wrong with Charas, really. I think you're all trying to make the forums the 'perfect world' that it can never be.

The thing that is wrong with charas is the way you overreact when someone posts something controversial.

BLUFF - total ******* hacker-wannabe bluff.

No one listen to this loser - he couldn't hack his way out of a wet paper bag.

Actually, it would be possible to compile a leeching program, but that would take forever because you'd have to run it on all 16888 member profile pages. Unless you could make a search and divide within the leeching program to divide pages from the member lists, find their logged IP and make a list back to the user.

But that sh!t is ****ing hard.

EDIT: nice try...no more of that

I freaking agree.  However I would do it much simpler.  I make up some numbers that the program interprets as dates after asking the board the last post date for each member (that'll take all night and if anyone was scanning me, they could figure out what I was doing), if the date was whatever year I wanted, it could show up along with the IP.  I can't do this in RUBY though, so I'd have to actually try it in C#, Neo, Perl, or *gasp* VB, first.  It's just a theory, but it could work, and I have a way of troubleshooting that almost always makes the program do what I want.  It might work in COBOL...I'll have to see.

The first thing that occurred to me was to make a leech program...but my thoughts exactly, it would take forever to run it on 16k members.  Not to mention I would have to sort everything manually.
