The Beast Deity (Poem XD)

[Dominicy]

And so it was
That a deity shall ascend apon the land
Indescribable, this man-beast was
And the people came and bowed to the monolith

And they said "Master, what is your will?"
The beast watched his subjects
"You shall build me an idol.  And you shall worship it as your new God"
"And in what likeness shall this idol be built?"

"You shall make it in your own form, a face in your mountains,
for just as they, I forever watch you.
And you shall craft a face, clefted intwane."
"And how shall this face be shaped?"

"You shall cleft the face intwane.  The face of a man and a woman.
And their eyes shall be forever sealed shut, for I see not my dying victims faces.
And you shall give me the mouth of a great, roaring lion.
For my tongue is of silver, without inhibition."

"And how shall we create the ears of our master,
That our prayers shall be heard?"

"Your prayers shall not be heard.  My ears shall by that of a man's,
And you shall place six swords of every creed and nation in each.
For I hear no words of logic in any form.

And you shall craft arms in your own form crowning my head.
In my left hand, I shall bear a scale.  In the highest bowl you shall lay a twelve stones.
For I am no Deity of balance, only vengeance."

"And in the right hand of your crown?"
The people asked their master, anxious to please him.

"In my right hand not shall I bear your city, but it shall bear me.
For you serve me not by my will, but by your own."

"And what shall be made of the crown jewel?
What shall your most prized achievement be?"

"I shall have no crown jewel.  In its stead, you shall build a man of liquid atop my head,
Four arms hewn with seven strings of a puppeteer on each finger.
And this man of liquid shall bear no face, only a nameless head.
For as long as you allow me to be, I shall always be in control of you."

"And of what material shall your fine hair be of?"
And the beast stared at the people, and said.

"My hair shall be disheveled.
For no beauty can be found in me.
And atop my hair shall you place the clothes off your backs,
For I am greedy, and I shall offer nothing in return."

"And what shall support this head of yours?
Surely our master must have a body hewn of the finest stone?"

"No.  I shall bear no body.
In its stead you shall demolish your city, and lay the rocks at my neck.
For I am the destroyer of civilization.
For I am the taker of lives."

And so the people looked upon their work.
Displeased with the beast they had created.
Displeased with the parasite they harvested in their hearts.
And the Beast Deity looked down upon his people.

They found no congratulations in him.
And they stared back at him and asked
"Are you pleased with our work?
What shall we call this new god of ours?"

And the beast stared back at them,
And the beast told them.

"I am pleased, for I have found sanctity within your hearts and souls,
And for I am now a part of what you are.
You shall know me as Anger.
For I am the evil that you could have disobeyed."

I like it. It sounds like you read it straight out of the bible.

Is that to say the writing style or (more likely x_x) the way the giant monster is portrayed?

I'd say both. It sound like my favorite book of the bible, Revelations. Such a happy ending, I'd say!

Eh.  I've never been much a poet-guy.  This was just a case of random inspiration.
