CBS questions

Hi, I'm currently working  on a CBS for my game and am having a bit of trouble.... I was wondering if anyone could post links or advice just on how to start it....\

I would also like to implement a system where you can change the characters in battle and possibly a way to have combination character attacks.


If there is anyway to do these two without a CBS just screw the CBS all together.
