I have download charas but as soon as I put chara in the game not me work.why?

escuse me but i'm italian...maybe this text is wrong...i don't know...please help me!!!!!!!!!

1) Use the Import button instead of just placing it into the correct folder.
2) Make sure the dimensions are 288 x 256.
3) Make sure the format is either .png, .xyz, or .bmp.
