Looks like Phoenix will be a spammer. I mean, ****, all his moves are ranged.

The trailer made it seem like he'll have a style switch of sorts. Starts as investigation, where you have to find evidence but searching the ground, then moves to courtroom, where it's all ranged attacks, and finally the Hyper 3 Turnabout, where you deal damage based on how much evidence you had.

I'm looking forward to it. The only thing that particularly bothered me was Von Karma...He doesn't strike me as the big, scary guy that I saw in the first game. Else I think they did a fairly good job pulling off a lot of the cast. (Well, there's a few details that bother me, but that's true with just about anything. )
