Dreadlocks and the Key To Sanity
« on: April 02, 2005, 10:16:34 PM »
Alright everybody, here's a game that I WeaselLord have been working on for nearly 8 months now.  I have never posted any information here about it because I wanted it's creation to be completely secret, I didn't want anyone to know about a game this good too early.  I don't have screen shots for it, because I don't want to give away the graphics detail.  I sent in the first draft of the game to The Salt Window Newspaper, (the largest newspaper this side of the euphrates river) and their response was as follows:

Dreadlocks and the Key to Sanity
A Glorious Weasel and Bathing Squirrel Production

"Never before have I, Xian Sygru (lead editor of the Salt Window Newspaper) seen such an amazing video game.  The story line is so complex one would believe it to be made by a seasoned proffessional.  Yet this game was created by amatures.  This is quite possibly the greatest RPG ever."

After that it just goes into a basic letdown of the game.  I am nearly done editing the file so that it will be smaller and easier to download, then I will send it to my friend to post it on his website.  When it is ready to download, I will tell you all.  Thank you for reading.

Wow if only the Salt Window Newspaper could be trusted. Isnt that one of those tabloids where they're permanently looking for Batboy. But seriously you need to put some kind of like story to this. If it's as cool as the tabloids say then great. If not then you may have incurred the wrath of the sun god.

The Salt Window Newspaper isn't a tabloid.  Well, actually, it is.  About 78% of their articles are about batboy.  My game isn't really all that great, and i've only been working on it for a month.  And it wasn't even  HARD work.  I think I worked on it like twice a week or something.  This was just a game to Incur the wrath of god..er... something to do when I got bored.  The game i've mainly been working on is life as a rabbit.  It's getting very good so far, mind you.  But anyway, just play dreadlocks and the key to sanity because if you look beyond the fact that it sucks, its hilarious.

Dreadlocks and the Key to Sanity? Sounds like a 60s title.

Alright, all you've told us so far was that you were making a game. I'm guessing that nearly all of the members here are making one as well. So can you please give us some info and screenshots. If you wanted to keep this a secret, then you really shouldn't of made a thread for it.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

It's a sad day when people don't know a joke when they see one.  I think i'm going to cry for several hours for no apparent reason.

In all honesty, this isn't a very good game.  But if you have ever played "Convert the Heathens" which is considered one of the worst RPG games ever then you may appreciate this game.  This game actually takes some skill to beat so i'll post some screenshots later.  As for features of the game and such, it's really to weird to actually make a detailed list of stuff that is on this.  As soon as I get a site to host it, i'll let ya'll know.

Well I would like to know what its about, maybe some info on the characters would be nice. Joke or not, good game or bad game, information about the game is the only way people can make any type of decision of wheather or not they like it prior to an actual demo  ;)

I played convert the heathans, I kept dying  :(
