« on: May 02, 2005, 04:43:09 AM »
Hereth iseth whereth thoueth casteth beliefs ofeth Sireth Kingeth Arthureth swordeth,Excalibureth.

Translation: This is where you tell your beliefs of King Arthur's sword,Excalibur.

Ieth Believeth the Ladyeth ofeth the Laketh senteth sireth Arthureth a tasketh toeth retrieveth the Swordeth ineth the Stoneth.

Translation:I believe the Lady Of The Lake gave Arthur a task to retrive the Sword from the Stone.

Does anyone else have beliefs? Or any comments about mine?

Exactly.

They talk more along the lines of:

Lendeth me thine blade! Or sword... hm... it was a fancy form of english.

Forsooth! Thine Elizabethan offends my ears! Go now to the dungeon where thoust shalt be locked away for five hundred years, and be force fed liver, and stuff!

Erm... Isn't the Excalibur story exactly that... a story?

The Excalibur is the sword given to Arthur from The Lady of The Lake, After the battle of Camlann Arthur request for his weapon to be given back to The Lady of The Lake, then after the battle, Arthur is mortally wounded and tells his trusted servant and friend Bedivere, to throw the sword back into the lake, after Bedivere tosses the sword into the Lake a hand appears, catches the sword and it is never seen again.

The Lady of the Lake did not get info to get the sword from the stone, Merlin put the sword in the stone to see if Arthur would eventually pull it, many men tried failed, until one day, Arthur pulled the sword for another to use and became King, its strange though since Arthur was going to be King anyway because Uther Pendragon his father was King.

Thou hast begun a thread on thy most powerful Excalibur, sword to King Arthur of England.

maybe I should work on my elisabethen. Uhm Excalibur is a form of belief?! Heck, I think he was given a sword that was said to be magic, he named it excalibur. The power thing is mostly mental.
