im realy lookin forward to this movie!!!

but there was a slight glitch tha square-enix made from the start it got released and it may complicate things in the movie.

In the american version of FFVII, "Arieth" is called..."Arieth" but the ENGLISH version of FFVII "Arieth" is called "Aries"!! so what are they gonna call her when it comes out in the cinema/DVD/UMD?

whenever playing KH : CoM I feel like i have a lisp cos i have to read "Aerith"

It is and was always Aerith, but because of a translation error it became Aeris. Just like Zebes and... something else, or Ciel originally being Shel. Or something like that.

Zebes was originally Zeebes, which was translated as Zebeth, I believe.

Ciel was original Shel? As in Ciel from the MMZ games? I never would've known.


As for Advent Children, I would probably see it, just to see what it was like. Of course, I'd probably have to wash my eyes with bleach after, but at least I would be able to judge it fairly.

I'm not going to believe the hype it's getting. Once all the reviews come out and the general concensus forms, I'll decide then. Otherwise, it'll be like Halo 2- so much hype, not worth the time spent waiting.

The release date has been confirmed by Tetsuya Nomura as being September 14th. It is believed that it will be released in the US and Japan at the same time - No word about a european release date though.

Hehe, ah but you don't know that. I'm not on the computer very often, and when I am it's hardly ever on an AC site. I do however, know quite a lot about it. No more than I do about FFXII and KH2, mind.

Umm, I see what you're saying, but I can't see that the topic has been off track at any point. Every comment has been AC related - the Aerith name subject has everything to do with movie since it is likely that Aerith will be the name used, not Aeris. I posted the release date of the FILM, and have linked to a trailer of the FILM. So yeah, we weren't actually talking about 'the game' at all, because there isn't one.

Back on topic, the new trailer shows lots of new footage - I'm starting to wonder how quickly paced the movie is going to be - If it's supposed to be just over an hour long, how quick are all these battle scenes going to be (Cloud vs Kadaj, Tifa vs Loz, Party vs Bahamut, Cloud vs Sephiroth etc.) ?

Only an hour? Wow- FF7 was so in-depth I was thinking it would be something more substantial.

You would think so. The information regarding the film length has varied somewhat, however. Originally it was intended to clock in at around 70 minutes, while later it was reported that that had been extended to a slightly more respectable 90 minutes. Since then, information on the length seems to have been contradictory, so we'll have to just wait and see I suppose.

Initially it was supposed to be 10 minutes of testing movie, then it was extended to 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 70 minutes, and it is most likely they will reach 90 minutes. They are however affraid that it might get too long.
