The Ghosts of Heart Lake
 A Promised Land

     In the Wendeverse, their are two kingdoms. The Demi Kingdom, under the rule of King Lessard V. And the Loki Kingdom, under the rule of King Hector Tethereal. Both Kingdoms have not seen war for more than 60 years. Almost no person can imagine what war is like. Newly posted Soldiers, even ones that have 20 or 30 years experience, have never tasted war, and are layed back and non-challant. So what happens when a lazy world is jolted into war from across the universe?

     On every planet you can find an LMP(Land Mark Portal). Each one is marked by a Maiden of Fire. A simple stone statue holding her hand out in fire. The statues are said to symbolize reaching up and into space. But these are more than just symbols, they are the portals between worlds. Between planets. Between Heart and Wendeverse.

     So what if hell was as close as the next planet? What if god created the universe for his own experiments and for a place to put heaven and hell? What if the priests you prayed with and trusted, knew about it all along, and never told you? So what is Heart? Heart is the center of the universe, the life force of all things. It is where it all began. Without it, the universe would surely crumble. Some call it heaven, some call it the Promised Land. Anyone who's not a priest knows it as a myth.

     Now evil has seeped it's way into the Heart, and it is coarsing it's way through out the rest of the universe like poison. This evil must be traced to the center, a solemn lake which is said to hold magic so powerful, only the Ghosts of Heart Lake can control it. But it is also said to hold a deadly secret that should not be tempted. For it is only to be seen by the eye's of god.

History: As Commander of the Loki Army, Samson is Hector Tethereal's trusty right hand. After working the castle guard 9 years, Samson was moved to the Port of Loki where he met friends and people he would remember the rest of his life. After 5 years of commanding the ports, and nearly 15 years of service as a commander in the army, his job is just about to come to use.

Gender: Female
Class: Mage
Title: Priestess
History: She lived with her dad since she was born. Her mother died while giving birth to her. So she grew up wanting to be just like her father. She practiced the art of a priest and the art of magic all throughout her teenage years. Now, at 23, she spends most of her time caring for her father. She had planned on seeing the world when her father passed away, but left the home early when Samson showed up at her door.

Gender: Male
Class: Dark Mage
Title: Commander
History: A fierce competitor ever since he was young. The land of Demi is a little bit rougher than that of Loki. No war doesn't mean no fighting. He would always enter into the International Tournament of Champions and was reknown for winning a number of times. He is constantly working out and training his magic skills. His life was suddenly changed when a dark proposal of power and wealth corrupted his mind, and greed took over.

Here it is! The very first installment of GoHL! I would like to hear what you guys liked and disliked about the Intro. If it was too fast, too slow, too confusing(this is the one I'm worreid about!

Some Things to Think About
1.) I have not made credits for the game yet.
2.) This is a rough demo, with some RTP and it most likely will have bugs.
3.) It is only the intro, there are no bosses as of yet.
4.) Please be honest in your likes and dislikes.

To start I'll say I love the music and story. The graphics are nice too, even if there is some rtp. I have nothing against rtp like a lot of people.

Ok, now I have to say the few negatives, like I do with most demos I play. For one thing, Samson slowed down after the big encounter with the Ghost of Heart Lake. What I mean is his movement was slowed. Normally, he would run around fairly quickly, but after seeing the Ghost, he was walking, which got really annoying because moving slow isn't exactly a good thing. The other negative might be on my part, but it said that Seren was going to the castle. So, I went to the castle and nothing special was there. It was ordinary. I didn't search anywhere else because it's late and I'm getting tired, but overall I think this game is very captivating. 9/10

 
 Oh, yeah Seren reminds me of Sephiroth a lot. The hair and the eyes especially. Of course, Sephiroth isn't quite as outspoken as Seren.  :p

EDIT: I forgot to mention the 9/10 is just a demo rating. It's not final, but you probably guessed that.
