I liked the suggestion of a seperate fan game forum. But  fan games aren't always poor they're just another type of games, but the problem is that they're ussually made by newbs and therefore are poorly made.

Have the common people fallen so far from grace that they refuse to use thier gifts and instead throw them away as if they where...

No I'll get flamed if I continue instead I'll just say this, maybe more creativity would be granted if people worked on oringal games like you guys said in the begining, but still thats just a wish it has little chances of succeding becuase the common people are easily swayed by simple "eye-candy" with a rip off storyline tacked on as a last resort to make it into a rpg. But should we help them, that is the makers of these flase rpgs? No, I think not but thats for you to decide not me...

I agree with you. It's much easier to be a familiar story cause you know how it goes.

Yeah but most of fangame makers are 10 y/o newbs so even if they tried to make an original game instead it'd probably still turn into crap anyway. But a fangame based on a non-FF game where the authur have worked hard and made a story that doesn't relate too much to the original and added some of his own work too could be as good as an original game. But it's rarely you see that kinda fangames. I guess it's best for the newbs just not to post their first game as it's 90% likely to turn into crap.

If a newb would post a fangame that actually is finished I would play it. But most doesn't get finished so it's sad.
