No, I'm just not good at joking at a bad situation. I've been in a jail once, it looked awful. I'd only imagine it would be worse behind those bars, and seeing a friend behind them... ugh... I shudder at the thought.

I can make light of some situations, but for the bigger ones it's best to take concerns before jokes until they pass.

Plus criminal actions go on a permenant record, and once their there it gets really difficult to get jobs in the future.

You might have a record, that's bad.

Complicity to theft, it's hard, because technically you were just that.
I stole stupid candy bars when I was around 8, me and my sister. Money only came from our small allowance and well that total of maybe $100 through the months meant a lot. The funny part was trying to win contests with things you stole and bringing them back to claim the prize. I was with my sister, she continued something really small a few years later, got caught ahd banned from the whole chain.

I also met a thief guy in University, he was funny, way more daring than the **** I did.

Oh yeah, I also stole like 10 pages of Pogs, again the allowance story, it was so damn low, Pogs were cool at the time and I needed them.

Point is (uh..) it's only funny when you're young, you'll get caught, and later on it hurts a lot more. Stealing made me learn not to be greedy, you never know when to stop, when to go for the bigger prize. Hopefully you all learned that as well, 1-2 catches and you should run for it.

No they should of stopped after the second item stolen and called it a day. It's hard to though, but if you're greedy, you're bound to get caught. Stopping is the hardest part. (for some conventional wisdom)

Greed is one of those destructive things. I try not to be greedy, not saying that I am not, because I have the feel of greed in me but I find it hard to accept money XD so I'm not very greedy.

That's exactly what I said. It's not just stealing here (with the pitfall of getting caught), you flip that coin heads 5 times in a row, you can double up money or lose it all. You're bound to lose if you're to greedy, learning when to stop will eliminate it. A lot of situations will require to think that way.
