Movies end 2005 - now
« on: April 03, 2006, 08:29:14 PM »
I've been BAD with movies since November and I need to catch up. I'd like to know some of the major movies in from Nobember till now. So far I got:

- Ice Age 2
- Slither
- Date Movie
- V For Vendetta
and I might go for Brokeback Mountain, if I got nothing to do. An 8 on IMDB, which is very high.

I hear it's a drama, but I really don't like dramas. A gay cowboy drama. Drama is what turned me off, I can stand gays.

Yeah, screw drama. Now, if it had been a gay cowboy sitcom...

Don't even bother with Ice Age 2 or Date movie... Both are crap. V and Slither are both good though.

I hardly see ANY movies in the threatre, though recently I've been going to a bit more. I've seen Ice Age 2, its a decent movie, its pretty funny. The plot is kinda blah, they have to walk across the vally or whatever to get to a boat before the valley floods, but I think the movie was focusing on each indeviduals story rather than that part of it.

The other movie I've seen recently is Falure to Launch, I was kinda dragged to that one. It was a decent movie as well, no big action scenes, some comedy, it was basically a drama movie, but done rather well.

Slither is freaking awesome.

Brokeback Mountain was overrated because of the controversialnessitismisations. Wouldn't have won so many Oscars if it weren't for the gay.
Crash was my favorite movie of the year, despite Hotel Rwandaman. Seeeeeeeeeeeee.... Inside Man. Funny cause of the racism.

Indeed. Because it was a movie no one really was asking for, it won the awards. Hollywoods full of retarded assholes.

I want to see Slither though. If not only for Nathan Fillion. *Swear to god, if I dont get a Firefly Season 2 I'm going to go ape ****...*

Hollywood is stupid when it comes to awards. They award the movies that are 'emotional' or have some sort of 'hidden meaning' even though most people hate those movies because they're boring peices of crap.

Its kinda like a book I have to read for american lit II called The Fountainhead, its the  most boring pile of **** out there, but critits like it because it shows the authors idealolgy about objectivism, which by the way is also a big pile of crap, at least in the way the author is presenting it.

Um let's see...

The hills have eyes - I liked it alot.
Undisputed 2 - I haven't seen it, but my brother liked it so it's prolly good.
Tristan & Isolde - Something I wanna see, so I'll prolly watch it later.
The shaggy dog - Eh..doesn't look that great, so I dunno..
Failure to launch - Um..
Curious George - I enjoyed this movie, it was really cute and gave me some laughs.
Glory Road - Seems good, dunno.
King Kong - Ok move.
Final Destination 3 - An awsome horror movie, although the characters seemed a bit meh, but who cares as long as one or all of them die, right?
Madea's Family Reunion - The only parts I found in Madea was the parts with Madea, the other storyline was kind've boring and predictable..so I'm alittle confused with this movie.
Saw 2 - I enjoyed it, completely twisted and friggin awsome. Not scary like others thought, but then again neither was part 1..
Get rich or die trying - It was ok..
Bloodrayne - COMPLETE GARBAGE, Do not waste a thought on this trashie movie..
Firewall - I haven't exactly watched it..so meh
Rumor has it - Seems ok
The pink panther - Garbage..
Big Mamma's house 2 - It was pretty amusing.
16 blocks - Still have yet to see it.
Xeonflux - I enjoyed it, not many others did.
Just friends - Loved it
The tenants - It was ok at first, but then it got boring and then interesting again..so meh
Prime - It was amusing, but dragged from time to time.
UltraViolet - I actually liked it, although a few parts were um..overdone it seemed pretty decent. But this movie seems to have attracted mixed reviews, so you're better off seeing it yourself :p

Now for my top to favorites...

Memoirs of a Geisha, I loved it. The book is even better.
Narnia, it held true to the book from the landscapes to the characters, I love it.

Hope this helps, some may be before november I dunno XD

Like Farenheit 9/11. That movie is nothing but a fat guy telling you what to think. Yet because it was "hard pressing" and "pushed the issues" it got tons of great reviews. Boring piece of ****, yet it was "great".

Since I am out of the country and have no cable(because I don't live in town I can't own it. CURSE YOU THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!!!!!) Anyway I though I just should say.
