In other words Omega, you've fallen into the trap of thinking that Final Fantasy two and three are names for four and six. This is wrong, they are in fact games in their own right. Americans call FF6 FF3, because the real FF3 never actually came out in America.

I wonder how that'd turn out for their game ratings if FF3 DS would actually get finished and come outside of Japan.
I wonder where they're keeping that project though. Haven't heard anything of it for ages.

In case you haven't noticed yet, Final Fantasy III and VI have nothing in common with eachother except for the thing they called 'Rhodox' in FF6. FF3 contains Light Warriors, Onion Knights and Crystals. FF6 doesn't have this at all. It only has annoying music, ugly (well-made, but ugly) graphics, and a world that evolved far too fast from some FF principals before. There is only a FF2 Easytype in the PSX and GBA versions of FF2. FF2US is equivalent to FF4 with alot of things censored and removed, unlike FF4 Easytype in which they still had certain things. FF4 Easytype had a different version of Zeromus the final boss, just for example of it. I don't have any reason to be argueing and I don't want to.
(Now I want to get back on-topic..)
I agree with Cerebus for a part.

Omega Weapon does not wish to argue but this is nothing more than a misunderstanding. Omega Weapon chose to slash 2/4 and 3/6 for the exact same reason it is being explained now; there are more or less the same but those not as savvy as others might not get the difference as Sir has.

FF2 - NES/Famicon version was not much of a step up. The story progressed strangely and there wasn't much to care about.

FF3 - NES surprised us greatly. It was like an SNES game by the content crammed into it. It was the antithesis of Final Fantasy 8, which consisted mostly of inane subquests which require serious 'wandering around time' and summons which lasted ages. The only saving grace was the final dungeon and mostly everything in it.

Every time you thought it was over, another world/dimension/city in the sky appeared! The music in the final map was creepy and FF3 seemed to be the first to present a universal balance to the world.

Ah, if you meant FF2 to FF4, then I apologise.

I can't decide between two...Final Fantasy 6 & 8...I just loved their plots, music..just everything about them, lol. I always find myself humming a tune from ff8 at random moments. I haven't played it in a few years tho thanks to my cousin  _veryangry_

9, definitely. It was the first I really ever actually played. I mean I had seen and tried 7 before that, but not really gone too far with it. 9 was the first I ever owned and beat, but I also just like it the best for some reason. After that I'd say 8. I was very hooked on that for a while. Then I'd say 7 and 4 are probably tied. I liked 4's music better, but I enjoyed them both the same. After that I'd probably say 1, and then 2. I didn't like 2 that much due to it's level up system. I prefer the traditional style, especially because I found leveling up spells in 2 was really hard. I haven't played any of the other numbered final fantasies, except some of 6 and a rom of 5 where I couldn't read anything, and I saw and played a bit of 10 at my friend's house. They all seemed decent, but I can't really judge them.

As for other FFs (which I guess could only be tactical FFs), I've played FFTA but not FFT. I liked FFTA a lot though. I'd probably put it just under 7 and 4.

Hmm, FF7, FF1, and  FFTA I have played.

To be honest, I think all the FF's are overrated. That's my opiniong.
I enjoyed FF7, but it wasn't as good as the Namco Tales series. I love the battle system in that series.

I only beat FF7 and 1 cause I have a thing where every game I play I have to beat. I haven't beat TA only cause i ran outta batteries for my GBA

FF6 and FFTA Anyway I loved the range of characters on 6 and FFTA had an awsome battlesystem as well as a huge range of classes.
