You mean shading on the tree trunks, or tops, or both?
(I still think the tops of the trees look flat. Any ideas on how to make it look more three deminsional?)

Yeah, the blue thinggy is supposed to be a small pool, but now I realize that it may be a bit too "squary", as well as not a really good water texture.

To squary, to empty, needs animals and on the second screenshot the corner of the tree tops is missing.

Alright, that's a really good idea! I'll in some animals, like butterflies, squirrels and stuff like that.

You mean the top right corner of the whole sceen shot? There's really more to it, but it couldn't fit on the screen. I actually just have openings in the trees, even though you never will be able to walk there. I guess I just thought it wouldn't look good if it was just black all the way around the map.

I'll work on the water, and make it look more natural.

Alright. So I think I got it all down. I just added a few animals. I also got a new tree top that isn't all black in the middle. It's all leafy, so the corners won't be gone anymore. I also think it won't look so flat. I also changed the water, so it's not a complete square. So, thanks alot for helping me out here! As I said before, Mapping isn't one of the things I'm good at, but the best way to overcome a problem is to face it head on, right? Thanks again!


I can't remember where I got that tent... I think maybe it was from RPG Maker XP, but I just shrunk it down to work for RPG2k3.

Ok,what program did you use,becuase it worked out good.
I wish some one whould shrink VX sprites like that.

Program? For shrinking? I don't know... I just kinda took it, and shrunk it down to the size I want with paint, refrencing to the squares, and tiles and stuff.
