  • WHAT THE WHY ARE THESE BUTTONS
Missed it, paying for it.
« on: July 15, 2006, 02:51:28 PM »
I've been told that I don't really like being with others just because I don't quote Family Guy every second of my life and I usually miss watching it on Sunday. They say I purposely am trying to be out of a conversation.

This also happened when Invader Zim came out. I miss an episode, and I pay for it the rest of the day. Why is that today television determines your position among others?

Also, I was ignored just because I didn't sign up for a certain play.

Has anything like this ever happened to any of you? Such as not attending a game or something? Just by missing something, you are forgotten?

If I don't get a reference I just don't say anything or tell them I don't. It usually goes over fine.

Never. Seriously, never. Tv and such, we watch it, we play games etc. But I have such a big amount and varied friends that I can always talk with some about something I did saw or played or etc.

Yeah, my friends aren't that hardcore into TV or Videogames. In fact, rm2k3 is the only 'videogame' I 'play'. Plus I don't really watch TV anymore, it's kind of boring. :|

I only make friends with people who have similar interests.
I dunno, some people quoted Family Guy in high school when it came out, mostly middle schoolers and stuff. God damn middle schoolers. You know what is is about them? It's the TUDE. Seriously, asking me if I have a penis and then laughing when I pull out my belt? WHAT IS THAT?!? FUCK OFF! I DON'T KNOW YOU! That's why I started beating up those little pukes. Firstly, they're tiny and I can easily beat up 10 of them at once, and B, they're assholes.

Uhm... yeah so if you have to do stupid shit like watch a TV show to fit in with your friends, they aren't your friends. And if they stand around talking about Family Guy everyday, they are useless lazy wetbacks and should swim back to Mexico.

I like Family Guy, but if I quote something to my friends, hell no it's Family Guy. There are better things to quote. Excel Saga, Red Dwarf, South Park, Futurama.

Meh, if everyone has seen the show, its cool.

My buddies and I are all huge nerds, and we'll reference TV, Video games, anything nerdy just to make a joke. So... but we don't just blurt them out randomly, we use em effectively :P

I see it more of a way of bringing it to the bigger public. Most thing I watch or watched haven't been seen by the general public here.
I also see it as a way of honoring something so good it sticks in your mind.

Yeah, my brothers often say I am a total loser because I don't know who performs a certain song or something like.  I also don't know a lot of slang sex terms, or even the scientific stuff, so they get on my *** about that from time to time.
