When given the chance, usually people shape up. You were a respected and cool member when you had modship. Now you're probally the top spammer on the site.

You're living proof that people can change if they want to keep their goal.

If any of them want a job, my private message folder isn't full and I'm on MSN most of the time. I do seriously consider all applications and I do go out of my way to be friendly to all of the staff.

And maybe I wasn't clear... both normal members of the forum and some of the staff have been directly communicating to me that they find spam and personal attacks a problem and have been doing so for several weeks. I'm not making it up because I enjoy this conversation.

I can't even understand what you write now KJ. You should just 'leave' the internet again.

The title of mod shouldent be a title you can simply ask for. You should be asked because of the way you present yourself on Charas. And I'll admit sometimes the spam is a little much, but this forum has the least amount of spam I've ever seen. And once again, personal attacks, I can semi-understand.

Rev, he likes people that ask more then people he requests because if a person asks for a job, he's more probable to do the job and work hard to keep the job. Like, for example, you don't want to be mod, but if you were given it and it's duties, you probally wouldn't be as enthustic about it as someone that wanted the job from the start.

Meiscool has the right idea. Over the past couple years I've found that people that ask for their jobs care more and stay on the staff longer. Every now and then there is someone who is clearly doing a lot of work in a particular forum (like Warxe in tutorials a while back) and I ask them first, but that's the minority. The Charas staff is a volunteer organization. No one gets paid and no one is under contract. People that ask to join usually know what they're getting into.

Rev, you said that it's just a joke, that the people who take it seriously are losers. But some people DO take it seriously. Some people DON'T like to be disrespected on the Net, even if it is a 'joke'. For example, MrMr. As has been previously stated, he was an exception to the rules because we knew he wasn't serious. But to some 12-year-old kid who's new to the Net, what do you think he's gonna think if some guy just starts insulting him for no reason? Even if we say it's just nothing, do you really think it's gonna make a difference? What if that kid takes it out on others, or himself (An extreme option, yeah, but it's happened tons of times before).

Whatever label you put over it, it's still a form of bullying. And people don't like being bullied, regardless of the reasons.

Well er...I never DID say MrMr wasnt like, the Rambo of insults. I actually do believe he's kind of..pushing it. But he's not really who I was focusing on.

Rev is both right and wrong. People shouldn't take the internet seriously, but then again, you can't expect a child that hasn't matured in the mind yet to understand that.

That about sums it up, MIC. Although it might not be just the younger kids that are affected by it. As I said, nobody likes to be bullied.

EDIT: Wait, what exactly is the topic here? <_<
