Afghanistan is changing for the better in some parts. It was on the news yesterday; they got proper buildings, a TV station with a female newscaster, MTV like shows, women don't need to wrap their faces up in burqas, a mall, paved roads... there are a lot of things going for that place. However, there is some places that are still unfortunate. America can't be everywhere at once.

Drace, Afghanistan sucked before we went to the Middle East. They've been killing each other for hundreds of years. The impact us goin over there had was minimal at best. The problem is, no one will tell you "Its really bad with us here, but it was just as bad before". No. They will tell you "Its been bad since we got here".

I believe America is a spoiled brat, who expects everyone to agree and cator to his needs. But the truth is no one gives a **** about that spoiled rich brat, and he just got something that has been coming to him for over 200 years. The brat needs to shut the fuck up and move on. Maybe even change his ways, but atleast move on. I'm not saying it wasnt a disaster, but a true patriot hadnt existed since the 1800's in this country until 9/11. It shouldent take a plane driven into a building in manhatten for us to have pride. My two cents. I TAKE NO PRISONERS. :guns:

I like to think that if I had a loved one get injured or killed, five years later I would have come to terms with it and made my peace. Remembering a loved one is a personal thing, not a media event. What really bothers me is how people are using the death of these civilians to justify ongoing war. Personally, if *I* ever get murdered, I don't want people using my death to push for things that I never believed in the first place.

It sickens me to see people getting upset that others aren't as fired up as they are about the victims. News flash patriots; the country you claim to love so much believes in free speech. You don't have to like the apathy of others, but you have to respect their views, else you're just a tyrant yourself.

I really hate patriotic hypocrits. If these people would stop blindly waving their flags and learn what the flag stands for, maybe this country would be a more peaceful place, and maybe less people around the world would hate us. But no. America has been on top for a while, but it's gone completely to our heads. The rest of the world won't stand still and play our games if we're going to be jerks.

I'll have us to go up there and make you dance our "pagode", then pick a few people who enjoyed that and announce it to the world.
While you suffer. You suffer with the awful, awful lyrics we have.

I think this thread is changing in another Bush/War is right/wrong debates we all oh so hate.

 BUT WHO CARES?!

Regarding my opinion to the "People using 9/11 as an excuse" all I have to say is:
There was a Tsunami, as much, if not more, people died. Do you know what date is that? If not, don't make us remember the date when you lost something.

But a tsunami is what is known as an 'act of God', its not a deliberate attack by one group of people on another people with the sole purpose to kill as many as you can. A tsunami just happens. Flying a f***ing plane into a building is planned.

And there was katrina... those things aren't ever going to be as IMPORTANT as 9/11 was. The world trade center was important because of what it did, not who was in it. It's just another symbol of power *shrugs* To be honest, I don't even know why americans are in Iraq. Make peace? Get oil? Get revenge? Distract people from what's happening on the inside? All I've got to say is... VOTE CLINTON!! <.<  >:
